Woodbury is a small town in Ramsey County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 1,898 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Ramsey County. Woodbury was incorporated as a city on November 3, 1865, and became a rural township on December 4, 1915. The first settler in what would become Woodbury was George Davidson who arrived in 1851 from Scotland. He built the first log cabin in what is now the downtown area of Woodbury. The first post office in Woodbury was established on July 15, 1856, by J. H. Richardson with the name 'Dalton'. In 1865, three citizens from Duluth - David Barron (a banker), Wm Fenton (a plumber) and Hiram Shearer (a contractor) decided to move to what would become Woodbury because of its growing railroad industry and possible access to markets for their products. They organized into a company called the Delaware & Hudson Railroad Company which began building tracks through Ramsey County and named it after themselves - Delaware & Hudson Railroads Incorporated. The town plat was filed on February 14th of that year with the name 'Woodbury'. It took until 1870 before any buildings were erected; this included the first schoolhouse which served as an infant school until 1876 when it became an elementary school teaching children grades one through five according to American Standard Centering Board standards In 1870-71 there were also two churches within walking distance of each other: First Baptist Church and Methodist Episcopal Church located just east of present day Fourth Street between Second Avenue South and Third Avenue North (). These denominations amalgamated when First Presbyterian Church purchased Methodist Episcopal Churches property adjacent to their original location back in 1875 Finally construction started on many homes starting with three frame structures near where Fourth Street meets Seventh Avenue South about 1880-1881 Total cost for all homes constructed between 1870-1881 approached $25000 By 1888 only 5% or $2 per inhabitant had been paid for public services such as schools etc When streetcars reached town during those years most everyone got along fine but some people did not like how things had changed including one resident who set fire to his house so local buses could stop running

Woodbury is a town in Pope County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 1,782 at the 2010 census. Woodbury was founded in 1881 and incorporated as a city in 1895. It was renamed Woodbury on July 15, 1912, due to the presence of an American Legion post in the town at that time. The townsite of present-day Woodbury was laid out by farmers Simon Smith and Isaac Hebard in 1881. The first settlers to what is now Pope County were German immigrants who arrived here from Silesia Province in Prussia during the mid-18th century. They came overland through Winona and founded what is now Minneapolis on May 25, 1798. After their arrival, some of these pioneers located here along with others who had preceded them on the same journey across western Minnesota Territory then under French occupation (the Great Lakes area). In 1851, Nathan Applewhite donated land for a courthouse and jail near what is now downtown Woodbury. This site would later be known as Applewhite Park after him and other early donors theretofore considered it part of their settlement plot or "grounds." One early settler also donated land for a school which became one of several public schools established around this time throughout northeastern Minnesota; this school building still stands today on Seventh Street NE near downtown Woodbury. One important event that took place within the limits of current-day Woodbury happened on November 9, 1888 when President Grover Cleveland signed legislation creating Wright County commission which included future mayors John Hennepin and Levi Morton among its members – each representing portions east of Stroudsburg off Interstate 94 then extending into Pope County proper including much of rural northwesternMinnesota – making advances towards completing development westward into Renville soil covering more than three square miles all but encompass[ing] present day’s City Limits Of Woodbury...A few years later (1901), when section lines were drawn following Dayton's Purchase they followed those boundaries almost to the last mile or so lying within...the City Limits Of Woodburyshrine today! In 1907 Judge Aiken certified title to 640 acres adjacent north side woodruff creek road which became home lots for many families soon after until said Road was torn up & razed about 1951 by new owners because there never WAS any such thing as “town limits” anymore since property lines have changed constantly thru annexation/demolition/edictations from local government leaders!
