Gun targets have been a part of the history of Woodbury, Minnesota for many years. Reverend John W. Daugherty founded the Methodist Episcopal Church in Woodbury in 1876 and began to give outgunnery lessons to residents. Gun targets were also first used at the church as a way to teach kids how to shoot. In 1906, Reverend Daugherty started selling target frames from his home and soon began shipping them around the country. The first competition using gun targets took place in 1911, and Reverend Daugherty was able to win first prize. Over time, gun target competitions became more widespread and popular, with people from all over coming to compete. In 1966, Reverend Daugherty passed away and his son inherited his business. After Revd."John's death, the business continued under new ownership until it was sold in 1984 by their granddaughter Patsy Driggs-Daugherty to Bill Poston of Apple Valley who quickly renamed it "Patton's World Shooting Association". Today, Patton's World Shooting Association still manufactures and sells classic gunmen targets." The first guns that were used for shooting at gun targets came from England in the 16th century handguns called falchions (or swords). These particular swords had points on both ends which could be held together like a bow or arrow by striking an opponent with one end while holding onto the other end (like a hand grenade). When these pistols were introduced into Europe they were not very successful because most people could not hit anything very close with them! However, some brave men did try using them for target practice back then! One such man was Sir Walter Raleigh who is famous for having led an expedition against Spain in 1586-87. He brought along some really fancy weapons including two falchion-like swords that he named "Queen's Sword" and "Royal Sword". Eventually these two swords got lost but they continue to be remembered today because they are now on display at The Queen’s Armory Museum in Kingston Upon Hull UK!

Woodbury is a small town in the state of Minnesota, United States. The population was 709 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Minneapolis–St. Paul metropolitan area. The first settler in what would become Woodbury was George Ritchie in 1858. He and his family ran a farm north of town on Hennepin Avenue until 1865 when they sold it to John Braidwood and his family who built the bend where Woodbury now stands. The name Hennepin Avenue may be derived from an early settler, Hans Hennepin, who bought 640 acres (253 hectares) near present-day Hastings on the banks of the Mississippi River from Averill Harriman in 1837. In 1868, John Dickey settled in what is today Woodbury along with his brother Amos Dickey and some others from Iowa City. They farmed for about 20 years before moving to their current location south of town in 1870 on land that had been donated by Rasmus Larson, one of Jens Bjerre's merchants from Copenhagen, Denmark as part of a land swap with US forces during World War I. After purchasing additional land east of town from John Fritsche and Emmet Olson, they founded what would become their continued commercial enterprise - American National Bank - which operated successfully until 1930 when it failed due to high interest rates and other factors. During prohibition era alcohol was not available but bootlegging did occur; this led to increased law enforcement activity which led to many arrests and prosecutions throughout the 1920s and 30s including that of Davey Larkin who became known as "The Chicago Outlaw" because he operated a bootleg liquor business out of Woodbury for several decades beginning in 1922 until he was finally convicted and incarcerated at State Penitentiary at Appleton in 1936 after sellingafia liquor into interstate commerce under the alias "Harry Green". In 1937 Larkin's wife married Roy Speller who also ran a bootlegging business out OFeldsburg near Ramsey; however following her husband's incarceration Roy Speller disbanded his business operations within three years after being arrested numerous times for operating illegal booze sales withinstate limits without prior registration or approval from state officials). Later that same year Prohibition ended nationally; however due to its duration many local jurisdictions continued regulation/ Restriction Of Alcoholic Beverage Sales (ROAS) well beyond repeal which continues up through present day although retail drinking has greatly improved statewide since then.* As per Minnesota Statutes ChAPTER 524: An Act To Regulate And Control Drinking On Public Streets And Roads In Minnesota § 106: “No person shall drink intoxicating liquors on any public highway or road therein open eitherto traffic or used exclusively by pedestrians….” This prohibitioniste*L&M Liquor Store opened operation on 3rd Ave South side Of Town December 10th 1934 serving all interested parties legal high & hard liquor only

Woodbury was founded in 1884 by George and Emma Haggerty. The town is named after General John A. Woodbury, who served as the military governor of Minnesota from 1857 to 1861. The town was first settled by farmers and their families who were looking for a place to farm near the large forests in the area. By 1915, Woodbury had a population of 327 residents. The early years of Woodbury were difficult because there wasn't much money available to develop the town. However, over time, the town began to grow due to its unique location and its connection with the military. In 1925, Woodbury became a city and it has grown ever since! Today, Woodbury has a population of over 10,000 people and it remains an important part of Minnesota's cultural landscape.
In 1868, the town of Woodbury was organized. The town was named after General James A. Woodbury who fought in the Mexican-American War and in the American Civil War. In 1871, a post office was established in Woodbury and was called "Woodbury". In 1872, a railroad station was built in Woodbury and it became known as "Woodbury Station". In 1907, the population of Woodbury increased to 100 people when the first school opened. By 1911, the population had grown to 300 people. The first doctor in town was Dr. John Hogg. On July 1, 1913, Woodbury incorporated as a city and began to grow rapidly with businesses opening up including a bakery, general store, grocery store and more than one hospital. During World War I there were military barracks located in town which were used by the army for training purposes. After the war ended on November 11th 1918, most of these barracks were destroyed but some remain today as part of downtown parkland called Veterans Park
