On February 14th 1986, Pope John Paul I designated Saints John XXIII and Francis Xavier as coauthors of "Gospel History." This document shows that both saints were closely involved withSt Peters during their pontificate. In keeping with this designation they are honored each day with an altar plaque within the parish church which reads: "Here we honor them both -John XXIII & Francis Xavier." Today there are more than 1,000 people living at St Peters Parish with Catholics coming from all corners of the state along with Canada and Mexico! Holy Mass takes place every day throughout the weekdays except for Thursday when services are held at Our Lady Queen Of Heaven’s Chapel across town! St. Peter, Minnesota is a city located in the U.S. state of Minnesota. The population was 7,207 at the 2010 census and 8,684 at the 2013 estimate. The first human settlement in what is now St. Peter was founded by Norwegian immigrants in 1881 as a fur-trading post on an old Dakota Sioux hunting grounds about three miles northwest of present-day Minneapolis. In 1884, the post was moved to its current location on an island in Lake Superior that had been used as a military reservation by United States troops stationed there during World War II. In 1931, St. Peter became one of twelve towns within the new City of Minneapolis; it remained part of that city until it left for good in 1967 when it became a separate municipality under the jurisdiction of both cities combined.
