In 1906, St. Louis Park annexed portions of neighboring Plymouth Township which lay just north of present-day Maplewood Avenue on Lake Michigan's east shoreline between White Bear Lake and Maplewood Cemetery; this annexation formed what is today called Maplewood Heights neighborhood within the current city limits of Saint Louis Park
