Shoreview is a small town located in the heart of the Twin Cities metropolitan area. Neighboring towns include Eden Prairie, Robbinsdale, and Mankato. The population of Shoreview was 9,822 at the 2010 census. The community is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The first settlers in what is now Shoreview were farmers who arrived from Michigan in 1858. In 1878, a sawmill was built and began producing lumber for local homes and businesses. By 1902, there were three stores, four schools, a post office, and a railroad station all in operation. By 1912, the population had grown to forty-nine residents. In 1916-17 when Minnesota became an allow state for liquor sales by men over 21 years old Shoreview joined Minneapolis as one of its fifteen municipalities which allowed such sales within their boundaries. In 1920 Shoreline's first grocery store opened with twenty-four items including canned goods and canned fruit products that were then new to Minnesota At this time the town prospered with many new businesses coming online like jewelers (1924), insurance (1925), brewers (1927), pie shops (1928) and even a swimming pool! In 1932 when it appeared that Prohibition might be repealed Minnesota made an agreement with Wisconsin allowing wine production within their borders so during prohibition while Milwaukee sold liquor they could also sell beer! This led to many business closures acrossMinnesota but due to some enterprising citizens like Mrs John Waddell who started selling refreshments from her house through her car called 'Wine Bazaar' which continued until 1984 after she sold her business to another company! The post office closed in 1940 but reopened on July 1st 1948 as part of a package deal between Shorewood Civic Association Incorporated along with fourteen other towns forming the downtown core of Minneapolis following cityhood! After World War II more businesses came online including dry cleaners (1945), fast food restaurants (1976), welding shops (1991) as well as pet supplies store/shops like Schmid’s Dog Store & Cat House(1993). These days you can find most anything you need here including groceries if you're lucky enough to find open shelves or go into one of those Walmart knockoffs that are always too busy for anyone else! All these years later we've managed still maintain our high quality standard despite all these changes; keeping our sense of community alive while adapting to ever changing needs!

Shoreview is a town in Nobles County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 597 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Minneapolis-St. Paul metropolitan area. Shoreview is one of two towns in Nobles County that were founded as settlements by Scandinavian immigrants in 1854 and 1855; the other is Thief River Falls. The first post office was established in 1856, and the town had its first election on November 3, 1860. Shoreview's incorporation as a town took place on January 8, 1912. According to the 2000 census,[1] there are 2,711 people living in Shoreview Township and 1,812 people residing in neighboring Snelling Township (both included within Nobles County). As of the 2006 census[2], there are 2,914 people living in Shoreline Heights Township and 902 residents residing within Snelling Township including those from both municipalities which make up Shoreview township. The population density for all of Nobles County was 1,566 people per square mile (595/km²). There are also 813 housing units located within Snelling Township which make up an additional 1% of total shoreline village population for a total land area of just over . Of note however is that according to recent studies done by Demographics Matters Incorporated[3], it has been determined that although most residents now identify as white American citizens or “Minnites” they may actually be descendants or descendents of Scandinavian immigrants who settled here during Wisconsin's gold rush era some 150 years ago when mines were opened at Stillwater Lake along present dayMN 163rd Street between Maple Avenue and Prospect Avenue The following table gives information about shoreline villages from 1901 to 2006: In addition to these core areas there have been numerous expansions taking place throughout those years such as:• Shorewood with its own school system established 1966;• Northshore with its own hospital opening 1988;• Southshore with their own hospital opening 2003;• Westshore with their own hospital opening 2007 - this being followed by another major expansion announced back in 2009 called "Eastshore" which will include acres bordering lakes Superior and Hennepin Counties plus adjacent properties including large tracts near Hastingson Lakeshore where new businesses will be located • totaling over 120 acres This latest Expansion has created quite a bit of competition among villages trying to claim what small piece of land might be available so please check back often because additions can be made without notice
The town of Shoreview was founded in 1851 by a group of farmers who came to the area from North Dakota. The town grew quickly, and by 1875 it had a population of around 100 people. In 1902, Shoreview attracted attention when it became the first city in Minnesota to be built on the Great Lakes. The city grew rapidly, and by 1916 it had a population of over 1,000 people. However, problems began to arise in Shoreview during World War I. Many residents enlisted in the military, and as a result there were high levels of crime and unemployment. In 1919, Shoreview petitioned for incorporation into the larger city of Minneapolis; however, this request was refused because Minneapolis felt that Shoreview did not have enough economic value for its own sake. After the war ended, many members of the military returning home found themselves jobless and struggling to make ends meet. This situation led to tension between Mayor John Herron and some citizens - particularly those who felt that they had been left out of the benefits received by those who had served abroad. In 1926, Mayor Herron announced that he would seek reelection without having gone through an election campaign; this decision caused much controversy among his constituents. Ultimately, mayoral decisions about whether or not to run for reelection were never revisited after 1926
