The Roseville Gun Club was formed in 1923 and soon became a rallying point for local gun enthusiasts. In 1928, Roseville passed an ordinance allowing firearms on its streets, making it one of the first cities in the United States to do so. The club continued to thrive and organized several annual meeting which drew together representatives from all over the country. In 1934, the club announced its intention to start a rifle range in town and soon enough, Roseville had one of the most popular rifle ranges in Minnesota. Over time, other clubs and organizations were formed throughout Roseville – some still exist today!
Roseville is a city in Ramsey County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 33,711 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Ramsey County. Roseville was founded in 1858, and named for General James Shields Rose. The city was incorporated on November 3, 1893. Roseville is located in the heart of MN's rural farming area and has a rich agricultural history dating back to when it was part of Dakota Territory. In 1862, Sioux warriors from the Standing Rock reservation attacked an encampment of white farmers near present-day Roseville. Two men were killed and four others were captured before being released unharmed thanks to President Abraham Lincoln's proclamation that Indian nations should have "a voice in our councils". In 1865, Colonel John A. Nicolay established Fort Snelling (later Independence) northwest of town as part of his strategy to protect settlers moving into what would become Ramsey County from Native American raiding parties. The fort served as a trading post and military garrison until its destruction by fire on December 10, 1870; it remains one of only a few structures remaining from this period in Roseville's history In 1875–76 Major George Hennepin purchased title to most all the land within today’s boundaries of Roseville from Ottawa Creek band leader Black Cloud Oglaland (1810-1884), founder and first Chief Executive Officer of the Crow Nation On November 3rd 1893 City Council adopted resolution establishing boundaries for new municipality including site now occupied by Target Field (the old home field for Minneapolis Athletics) located just east side River Road on what is now west side Of Raymond Boulevard . This territory comprised much later portions east side First Avenue south corner current jurisdiction line thenceforth extending northerly along river bank to intersection with present day Illinois Street east limits The city’s first mayor was Joice Peterson who served two terms starting on January 1st 1897 thru December 31st 1902 followed by Coster Murchison who served three terms beginning January 1st 1903 thru June 30th 1915 inclusive Coster Murchison resigned due to ill health on October 15th 1915 after which Elmer Johnson took over as Mayor effective October 16th 1915 until his resignation effective December 5th 1916 due to ill health also known as “The Great Flu” John Mueller became Mayor effective February 1st 1917 thru March 15th 1918 following Johnson’s resignation because he had not completed all formalities required for election including taking oath of office…..Mueller held office until he resigned April 25TH 1919 citing illness

Roseville is a small town in the U.S. state of Minnesota. The population was 1,951 at the 2010 census, down from 2,022 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Minneapolis-St. Paul metropolitan area. Roseville was platted in 1871 by Danish immigrants who named it after their old home town in Zealand (now Rosevile). The first settlers were Methodists and they used to meet on Saturdays in a clearing nearby to pray for rain because they thought it would help them grow crops and cattle. By 1875, there were about 25 people living here with one school and one Methodist church. In 1887, Swedish immigrants started coming here too to work on farms during the farm crisis then following World War I there were even more Swedes coming here looking for work when things calmed down again. In 1925, Roseville had its first post office which opened up local trade with neighboring towns like Mankato and Hastings though mail service continued until 1978 when all services were transferred to Minneapolis-St. Paul due to growth in that city and lack of space at the Post Office building downtown. Danish culture still plays an important role today as many residents are descended from those who came originally from Zealand; however, some have also moved away since then while others have adopted Americanized names such as Ryan or Henningsen (which are not their original surnames). There are now 4 churches located within Rosesville limits: oneMethodist, one Lutheran (South), one Presbyterian (North)and two Roman Catholic churches - both active congregation types with ample services available each week morning and evening throughout Advent/Christmas season including speaker's bureau programs for children aged 5-18yrs old during Holy Week services!
Roseville was founded in 1872 by citizens of the town of Amsterdam. The community grew rapidly, and in 1888 it incorporated as a city. Roseville became an important center for industry, commerce and education during the early years of the 20th century. In 1916, Roseville was named one of the "20 Cities That Changed America" by Time magazine.
