The town of Rosemount, Minnesota was founded in 1873 by a group of German farmers. The town quickly became an important center for the agricultural industry, and its citizens contributed to many aspects of the development of the United States. Rosesmount's commercial district thrived during the early years of this country, and it was one of the few communities in Minnesota to maintain a large population during Prohibition. The town also played an important role in the establishment of statehood for Minnesota. The first Guns in Rosemount happened in 1892. A man by the name of George Hogg bought a shotgun and made his home in what is now the business district of Rosemount. He started a shooting club, which met every other week to shoot at targets. The first Rifle Club also met regularly to shoot from cover. These organizations were soon joined by Shotgun and Rifle Clubs, allexisting within what is now Rosemount Township. The first town hall was built in 1903 and served as a meeting place for the various organizations. The first school was erected in 1907, followed by a church in 1912. In 1916, an ammunition store opened up on Fourth Street, serving as the nucleus of present day Rosemount Ammunition Company Incorporated (RACE). This company manufactured firearms and ammo until 1958 when it merged into Remington Arms Company Ltd., one of the largest gun manufacturers in North America In 1933-1934, work began on enlarging and remodelingRosemount High School which became known as "the GreatSchool". Many Rosesmithers attended this new school where they would learn about rifle shooting techniques along with important courses like First Aid and Mechanicsburg History In 1938-1939, Stonington Savings Bank building (later renamed State Bank) was constructed on Seventh Avenue just east of High Street. It served as the nucleus for present day State Bank & Trust company (SBT). This company manufactured handguns and shotguns until 1984 when it merged into Magpul Industries Incorporated (MIG).
Rosemount is a small town in the Le Sueur School District, located in south-central Minnesota. The population was 1,868 at the 2000 census. The name of Rosemount is derived from two given names: "Rosen" and "Bountiful." The first settler in what would become Rosemount was John Rosenfeldt in 1855. In 1880, 10 families had moved to the area from Hennepin County, Minnesota. By 1900, there were 20 families living in the town. There are several churches and schools that have been part of the community over time including First Presbyterian (1895), United Methodist (1912), Lutheran (1930), and Baptist (1963). The community experienced a lot of growth during World War II as many businesses came online to support the war efforts. After the war ended, much of this growth slowed down as people returned to their everyday lives. However, some new businesses started up in the early 2000s such as an ATM business and a restaurant called Blue Moon Pizza which has since been closed down. Overall, Rosemount has managed to stay relatively stable over time despite some recent challenges. One of the biggest challenges facing Rosemount has always been its water supply which has had to be improved multiple times due to infrastructure issues such as Dutch elm disease and flawed piping systems. However, through partnerships with other communities in south-central Minnesota and federal funding programs, residents have worked together towards improving water availability for all residents within reason. Today, most residents water their plants themselves rather than relying on outside sources which helps keep costs low for everyone involved.

David Caldwell issued a report on target practice for The United States Marine Corps called "An Artillery Practice Book" which included rules for using live ammunition against creatures such as rats and rabbits. This report was followed by another in 1827 which outlined the use of shotcrete against small game animals. During World War II, many American military leaders believed that nuclear weapons could be used to destroy large numbers of enemy combatants without causing damage or death to civilians or troops. As a result, Target 10 became one of the most important documents in the history of artillery warfare because it provided specific instructions on how to hit individuals at long range using nuclear warheads

Rosemount was founded in 1881 by George and Emma Rose. The town was named after the rosebush that grew near their home. The Roses were the first white farmers to live in the area, and they started a flour mill in 1885. In 1903, they built a school and a post office. In 1916, they began to grow corn, soybeans, and other crops. They also built a sawmill and coal mine. The Roses died in 1940, but their son continued to run their business until his death in 1984.
