Rosemount is a small town in the United States of America. It is located in the state of Minnesota. The population was 5,088 at the 2010 census. Rosemount is part of the Minneapolis-St. Paul metropolitan area and it is also included within the Bloomington–Normal, Illinois Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first European settlers to Rosemount were two brothers, Abram and Isidore Rose, who came from Hungary in 1824. They built a cabin on a hill overlooking the village and named it after their home country, Rosenheim (now Vienna). The Roses operated a farm near present-day Rosemount for over sixty years until they sold it to John Denton in 1875. Denton donated land for a school and church which were constructed on his land in 1878. In 1907, he added an amusement park to his property which became known as Denton Park. In 1913, he donated land for another school and community center which was dedicated as Maplewood School District #1 School Building #2 on October 14th by Mayor Clarence Hynes of Minneapolis; this building served as both district headquarters and court room until 1975 when it became known as Pioneer Courthouse Museum & Learning Center with its current name change to honor Mr. Denton’s wife Alma Jaffe Denton Murphy (1915-2013). In 1936, DRD organization merged with three other local organizations to form MN Department of Transportation: Rural Roads Administration; City Roads Administration; County Roads Authority This merger created what would become MN DOT’s largest regional transportation planning agency responsible for allocatingMinnesota's roadways statewide within five major system corridors that serve all civil areas statewide including rural areas east of I-35W through Twin Cities metropolitan area) Additionally these five corridor systems comprised overall systemwide surface transportation planning functions including traffic control plan development/implementation; funding allocation procedures; engineering design/build program management A new freeway project began construction amending I-35W between St Cloud and Rochester Junction during this time period resulting in increased traffic congestion around downtown Minneapolis making an alternative route necessary called routes 1A & 2A which paralleled former Uptown Avenue being developed bypassing downtown along Hennepin Avenue Southeast while still keeping original street names

The Rosemount area was first settled in the 1820s and 1830s. The first post office in the area was established in 1829. In 1861, the Minnesota Territorial Legislature created Ramsey County as part of Minnesota Territory. The new county included much of present-day Rosemount as well as portions of neighboring counties including Maplewood and Antrim. On December 12, 1861, Ramsey County was merged into Dakota Territory following its creation. In 1912, work began on developing the Rosemount Mall which would become one of Minneapolis' largest shopping centers. The mall opened in 1914 and served as one of Minneapolis' main retail destinations until it closed in 1978 after several decades of decline. Today, most traces of the mall remain from when it was first built; however, development has removed many artifacts from where they once sat.
