The Robbinsdale Rifle and Pistol Club, Inc. was formed in 1907 by a group of men who were interested in firearms. The club met each month to shoot at the local rifle range. In 1912, the club built its first clubhouse on Nine Mile Road, just east of downtown. The clubhouse was designed by architects J.H. Smith and W.W. Goodhue and cost $5,000 to build. In 1916, the club moved into its present building on Seventh Street NW, which is still in use today as the club’s headquarters. The Robbinsdale Rifle and Pistol Club has been responsible for developing some of the most important firearms cleaning techniques in Minnesota history! Over the years, they have developed a method for cleaning large pistols that is still used today by many gun owners around the state! This process is called “Piston Cleaning” and it consists of using a piston plunger to suction onto the breechface of an old-style pistol and pulling until all foreign material has been removed (usually done with a cloth or paper towel). This procedure allows for excellent cleanliness of all parts of your firearm while keeping your weapon functioned properly!

Robbinsdale is a village in Hennepin County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 1,868 at the 2010 census. Robbinsdale is part of the Minneapolis-St. Paul metropolitan area. Robbinsdale's ZIP code is 55102. The Village of Robbinsdale was platted in 1881 by John Wesley Robbins and his brother Jameson Robbins. The name for the community came from nearby Mount Hope which was once called "the home of Fawn Robins." In 1902, J.W.'s wife Elizabeth set up a grocery store on Third Street in what is now the heart of town and ran it until her death in 1939. Her son-in-law Wernher Lueders took over operation of the store after her death and operated it until his own death in 1984. In 1954, Nelsons Funeral Home opened its doors as the first funeral home in town and has been serving family members ever since.� In 1963, Mrs. Omaha Steenkamp donated land to build an addition to her childhood home that served as the first high school gymnasium in town.� That same year saw the opening of First National Bank with a $10,000 donation from Mrs.. Ada Lovelace Stephenson.� In 1969, First National Bank moved operations out of their original building into their current facility which became known as "The Star"� This institution served as bank headquarters for many years before being decommissioned and sold to developers who used it for office space.� The assets were eventually re-purposed into a new community built on what remained of the old First National Bank building.� The name given to this new development - "The Commons"� - reflects both its location within town limits (near where Elizabeth Nelsen's grocery store once stood) and its intention to provide multiplexing services such as shopping mall access � all while preserving much of historic value�� In 2002, First National Bank merged with Community & Savings Bankshares Inc., becoming one of only two banks headquartered within city limits (along with TCF Financial). At that time �First National Bankshares Inc.� ceased operations; however �Community & Savings Bankshares Inc.� continues to operate today as one separate business entity.� On July 1st 2003 Community & Savings Bankshares Inc.* acquired Eastman Chemical Company from Monsanto Co., forming one large industrial company located just outside downtown Robbinsdale!* *This merger did not have any effect on shoplifting or other criminal activity because funds still flow through local banks without issue today
