In 1931, they successfully licensed Jesse James' patent for what would become known as " Jesse James Mount".Jesse James Mount became one of the most popular types of scope mounts available today due its simplicity and easy installation process. By 1936, every major firearms manufacturer had produced at least one Jesse James Mount model! Today, Scope Mounts are still used extensively throughout The United States because they provide great flexibility whenadjusting weapon heights and optics onto firearms - making them an essential part of any reloaded firearms collection!

The community has a population of about 350 people as of 2010. Prior Lake is located within the Town of Prior Lakes, which is part of the Wadena Township government. Prior Lake was named after George Prior, an early settler who came to the area around 1850. priorLake began to be developed around 1910 when developer James Post built a number of homes and a store on what is now known as Water Street. In 1912, priorLake's first school was built, and served students from prior lakeside residents as well as town residents across the border in Wiscona County. In 1959, priorLake was renamed Wabasha after Michigan native Winfield Scott Wabasha who had been instrumental in helping found Fort Snelling in 1855. In 1969, post office operation moved to its current location on Water Street with additions including an information center and additional home buildings that continue to be used today by the community's citizens.
Prior Lake was named for General John A. Prior, who commanded the Union forces during the Civil War. The lake was located in what is now Polk County and it drained into the Superior River.
