In 1920, an act passed by Congress allowed for local government representation through village form elections throughout all United States Territories and possessions except Alaska and Hawaii! This innovative new concept called congressional districts! As a result of this change, nine villages located near Ottsegon became members of Otsegon Township: Apple Valley BBQs/Pizza Hut; Bemis Mills; Birchwood Farms; Brooklyn Park; Canandaigua; Crystal Falls/West Branch Fisheries Outfitters; East Granite Creek Resort Casino;; Elliott Bay Golf Club;; Fish Unlimited;; Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company;; Harry's Hatchery;; Indian Head Lumberjack Campground;; Keystone Lake;;;;Lakeside Lake Community Pool.; Manhattan Beach (); Moose Jaw (); Northfield (). On December 2nd,, 1922 OTSEGO COUNTY WINS THE FIRST ELECTION UNDER CERTAIN CONVENTIONAL BALLOT SYSTEMS.(see below) .
