In the 1940s, action figures were based on BB guns, so these guns came into common use among children. In 1969, New Ulm businessman Roy Kapp founded Airgun Supply Co., which began selling airguns online. New Ulm, Minnesota, is a town in Otter Tail County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 2,829 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Minneapolis–St. Paul metropolitan area. The first settlers in New Ulm were Norwegian immigrants who arrived in 1854 and started a small dairy farm. The name "New Ulm" was given to the community by General John A. Macdonald after he visited it on his way from Winnipeg to Washington D.C., in 1857. The original post office was established in 1858 and named after Colonel Augustus Fisk of the 3rd Ulysses S. Grant Volunteer Infantry Regiment stationed at Fort Snelling (now Sioux City), Iowa Territory during the Mexican-American War; Fisk had been wounded there earlier that year while fighting for Mexico against American forces under General Crook. In 1898, two brothers founded Whetstone Manufacturing Company which became an important industrial leader in New Ulm until its bankruptcy in 1925; other major employers include First National Bank (founded 1902), Armourblankenship (1921) and US Steel Corporation (founded 1937). New Ulm also has several dozen shops and restaurants concentrated near its central square including Joes Pizza & Subs (), KFC (), Sonic Boom Coffee (), Subway () According to the 2005 US Census estimates, nearly one-third of all private industry jobs located within commuting distance of NewUlm are involved with plastics or rubber products manufacturing - predominantly through companies such as DuPont Pioneer (). In terms of total employment across Otter Tail County as a whole – both public and private – plastics production accounts for over 60% of all wage labors reported within easy reach of residents' homes outside single-digit percentages for glass fabrication (-14%), metal fabrication (-7%) and machinery/manufacturing (+10%). These industries are home to more than 1 million workers statewide - many recent immigrants who have helped build what today constitutes one of America's most diverse communities: With steady job growth rates (+5%) since 2000 (!), new businesses have kept pace with population growth throughout this decade despite continued economic volatility around the world; currently about 60% percent natives born here worked their way up through education or earned something beyond their high school diploma four years ago - making us one of only three municipalities nationwide where this rate exceeds 50%. Thanks especially to our rapidly growing digital media sector - employing upwards of 100% natives among Salamanders Broadcasting Company employees alone - we've seen significant retail development adjacent to city limits over just the past few years without raising any taxes!

New Ulm, Minnesota is a small town located in the County of Hennepin, in the state of Minnesota. The population was 1,788 at the 2010 census. The name "New Ulm" originated from a Dakota Sioux word meaning "place where the water flows." New Ulm was founded by Germans in 1854 as a Lutheran church colony on the banks of theMinnesota River. In 1868, New Ulm became an incorporated city and has since been known for its manufacturing activities such as agriculture and textiles. New Ulm's main industry until recently was lumber; however, this activity has declined as other industries have taken over. Today, NewUlm is home to many cultural attractions including several museums and art galleries.
New Ulm is a small town in the Minnesota Department of Commerce. The population was 2,736 at the 2010 census. It is located in Hennepin County. The new Ulm post office was established on February 15, 1884, and opened its doors to residents of New Ulm, Westville, and parts of Gull Lake on October 1, 1886. At that time it consisted of a single room with a desk and one or two chairs for customers to wait on. In 1923 the post office moved from its original location to what is now the old high school building. In 1933 New Ulm became an incorporated village with a Mayor-Council form of government under which all citizens were represented by elected officials rather than by individual landowners who held sway over their community affairs. The first village president was Mrs. Lillie Ahern. On January 1, 1938 the village had an increase in population when it absorbed the neighboring town of Westville into its boundaries. On November 17th 1978 New Ulm celebrated its bicentennial anniversary with a special celebration including balls and dances at the old high school where today's library is located
