The history of weapon flashlights goes back to the early 1920s. At that time, firearms enthusiasts in the Minneapolis area were using portable light sources to illuminate targets at ranges up to 100 feet. One of these pioneers was Harry Houdini, who developed a flashlight that could beam light into any direction. In the late 1920s, several companies began manufacturing weapon flashlights. The first was Raytheon Company, which produced a model called the "Beacon." This flashlight featured a Cree LED flashlight bulbs that emitted a frequency of 850 MHz. The Beacon also had an adjustable lens and had two brightness settings: high and low. In 1933, Winchester Corporation introduced the Model 627 rifle flashlight. Thisweapon flashlight was designed as an infantry weapon with five light output modes: MH (high), LN (low), CW (CW only), IR (IR only), and UV (UVA/UVB). It used 7x25mm objective lenses and emitted an R-series police strobe signal at 575 MHz. The first use of this type of weapon flashlight took place during World War II when United States military personnel used them as night vision devices on tanks and other vehicles. After the war ended, many manufacturers continued producing these types of weapons flashlights until they were discontinued in 1972 by Altec Industries Incorporated.

New Hope, Minnesota is a small town located in the Upper Midwest region of the United States. The population was 5,812 at the 2010 census. New Hope is one of several towns in Becker County that were founded during the Gold Rush era of 1876-1877. This period saw an influx of people looking for new land to explore and prospect for gold. Many of these early settlers, including many men from New England, began their lives in what is now Becker County. The first store located in New Hope was established by Jens O’Keefe on July 1, 1879. He operated a general store and post office until his death on October 16th, 1912. His wife Nora ran the business until her death on January 14th, 1933. Their son Jens took over the store after their mother’s death. Jens continued to run the business until his own death in 1951. The old store building still stands today within walking distance of both the original site where he started operations as well as his father-in-law’s home where he spent much time when he lived in New Hope prior to moving to California during World War II. One important aspect of New Hope’s history is its role as a stop along the Oregon Trail which connected wagon trains traveling through central North America with Mission Valley and points eastward across Canada and down into Mexico City on their way back home during this time period known as “the great journey West” which started in 1846 and finished up in 1872! Many residents who came to New Hope during this time also participated actively in local politics throughout their stay here including serving on various committees and holding elected office such as Justice of Peace from 1888-1892, Mayor from 1904-1910 and Lieutenant Governor from 1916-1920; all while living within walking distance of each other! In addition to its role as a stop along the Oregon Trail, another major factor affecting community development was its location adjacent to two miles (3 kilometers) wide open space known locally as “the fire hole” due to its numerous wildfires that frequently consumed portions of this area! This blaze control issue became increasingly important given neighboring communities lack thereof with regards to firefighting capabilities during this time period! Consequently, several efforts were made by village leaders throughout ensuing years aimed at providing better protection against potential inferno threats including erecting fences around “the fire hole” or investing money into purchasing more efficient firefighting equipment! Finally noteworthy about New Hope during this era are some significant contributions made by developer John Sauer who purchased 2 acres (1 hectare) west side of town near present day White Road for $2 per acre (0 . 8 m²) resulting in construction beginning 1922/23 of what would become known as Sauer Place consisting essentially four large blocksEach block measuring 55 feet wide x 45 feet deep x 10 feet high containing over 400 housing units later completed under various names including Sauer Manor®, Sauer Place® etc.; home ownership becoming increasingly available thanks largely to subsidies granted by successive governments especially under Lyndon B Johnson administration who led America through some difficult times following World War II !
New Hope was founded in 1854 by Methodist missionaries. It became a town in 1889, and it was the site of the Battle of New Hope in 1894.
