The economy of New Hope is based primarily on agriculture which includes raising livestock, haying hay, corn production, dairy farming, soybean production, and fruit trees; however there are also some limited manufacturing capabilities associated with local companies such as IMAX Entertainment Corporation’s new movie theater complex and One Lifepipe Inc., which manufactures pipe made from recycled materials that goes directly into drinking water supplies around the world

New Hope is a small town in Chaska County, Minnesota, United States. It was founded in 1881 by Norwegian immigrants and has been the home of the New Hope school district since its creation. The population was 927 at the 2010 census. The first settlers to New Hope were Norwegian immigrants who arrived from Hordaland county, Norway in 1881. They built a cabin on the east side of Clear Creek and named it "New Hope." They started a farmers' cooperative and raised corn, wheat, cattle, horses, and sheep. In 1893 they built a post office and store that served as the community's center until 1915 when it was moved to its current location on Main Street. The new Post Office cost $2,500 and was dedicated by Mayor John Nolte on November 6th of that year. In 1902 the town became part of Chaska County; however, it remained an independent municipality until finally merging with Chaska County on January 1st of 1907. The early years of New Hope were difficult; there were few jobs available for those who Came to America seeking opportunity. However, over time this changed as more people came to New Hope looking for work opportunities during hard times when other parts of Minnesota were struggling economically. With Northern Exposure Radio broadcasting services being established in town during World War II many residents lost their jobs but soon found themselves back working with their hands helping rebuild postwarMinnesota after the war ended *. Many new businesses opened up downtown such as A&W Pizza (the first American-owned restaurant in town), First National Bank (founded 1935), JCPenney (established 1949), Target (opened 1975) amongst others(*). The influx of prosperity led to increased development downtown which included new schools including Stonington Elementary School which opened in 1966*, Christophers Middle School which opened in 1984*, Unity High School which opened in 1990* along with several other businesses*. Today there are over 20 businesses located Downtown NewHope making it one busy place to be! In recent years some challenges have arisen faced by the community such as high rates for electricity due toMN state government mandates†; however these issues have been quickly overcome with innovative marketing campaigns involving social media (#BringBackNewHope #EcoFriendlyTown)‡️ As we enter into another decade or so full of growth & progress my hope is that through creativity & determination our community will continue moving forward towards becoming even more thriving than before
New Hope, Minnesota is a small town in Nicollet County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 1,811 at the 2000 census. New Hope is located on the west bank of the Mississippi River near its confluence with the Missouri River. The village of New Hope was organized in 1851 as part of a land grant by Andrew Jackson to John A. Snelling. It became an incorporated city in 1913. The current mayor is Carolyn Hagenbeck-Thompson
