The history of ammunition in Mounds View, Minnesota goes back to 1894. That year, a local company named the Hennepin Park Ammunition Company was founded by earlygunner and businessman George W. Hennepin. The company manufactured 7mm Remington rounds and 12 gauge shotgun shells. In 1927, the company was renamed the Gaston Arms Company and began producing 5.5x55mm NATO rounds. In 1978, Gaston Arms merged with Winchester Repeating Arms Company to form Winchester/Winchester Repeating Corporation (WRC). The new company produced both rifle ammunition (such as .308 Winchester) and shotgun rounds (such as 12 gauge). In 1984, WRC merged withRemington Outdoor Co., Inc., creating what is now Remington Outdoor Group (ROF). At ROF, employees focused on developing new ammo products such as hunting loads for rifles and shotguns; shoulder-fired artillery munitions for use in armored vehicles; and pistol ammo including 9mm Parabellum cartridges. By 2007, Remington had announced plans to divest all its firearm businesses into two newly created subsidiaries: American Defense Industry LLC and Memphis Armory Incorporated. These divisions would focus on developing military-specification ammunition products that are sold under different brand names to various industry partners around the world.
Mounds View is a town in Ramsey County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 3,531 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Minneapolis–St. Paul metropolitan area. Mounds View was laid out as a township on July 1, 1857, by commissioners from St. Cloud and other townships in Ramsey County. The name "Mounds View" comes from an Indian word meaning "hill of many graves." By 1880, the community had developed into a small farming village with about seventy residents and four churches. The first settler to arrive in Mounds View was Ebenezer French in 1858. He built his house on the east side of what is now Third Street between Academy Road and Avenue D. French's wife and six children arrived two years later followed by their parents and five siblings in 1860. By 1865, all but one family had left for other parts of North Dakota or Canada due to raids by Sioux Indians led by Chief Black Hawk (Cayuse). In 1886, John Fenton purchased necessary land south of present-day Mumps Boulevard for what would become Mounds View Cemetery; he named it after his deceased father-in-law James Fenton (1792-1875). In 1906 Fenton donated twenty acres (8 hectares) to the town for use as a parkland expansion project; today that property forms the eastern boundary of Mumps Boulevard Park.. Fenton also donated tenement buildings on Seventh Street north of Center Avenue to accommodate new settlers who began arriving during the late 1860s and 1870s as railroads grew more popular in America. These early settlers were instrumental in developing agriculture as a majorstayof life within Mumpsview Village until after World War II when significant changes began taking place with advances in tractor technology which allowed farmers to expand their operations far beyond their original areas of operation.. New families arrived over time with baby boomers moving into homes they helped build while others simply bought plots where they would live out their days until they passed away.. A few notable names include: Harry Olsen (1914-2006), Dick DeVos (1948-2015), Fred MacMurray (1925-2013), Dennis Lindholm (1968-) .. most residents retired soon after purchase or moved out when they started having kids or getting married...the last resident living there died on October 30th 2006 at age 89 years old!

Mounds View was a small village located in the heart of Minneapolis, Minnesota. The site of the present day town was first settled by men in 1846. Mounds View grew up around a large mound that served as the village's meeting house and primary school. The first store opened in 1851, and by 1860, the population of Mounds View had increased to about fifty people. In 1865, Mounds View became part of Minneapolis when it was created as a city. By 1870, however, MoundsView had shrunk to just ten residents. In 1932, Mounds View decided to become an incorporated community again and has remained so ever since. Today, Mounds View is home to a variety of businesses including two libraries and many churches and other services provided by its municipal government.Moundview is also known for its annual pumpkin patch festival which takes place on October 5th each year.
Mounds View was a small town in Minnesota, located on the east bank of the Mississippi River. The town was founded in 1851 by Alexander Shields and his wife, Sarah. It grew rapidly during the 1850s and 1860s, thanks to its location on the river and its access to fur traders and other businessmen. By 1870, Mounds View had a population of 584 people. In 1871, Mounds View became part of the new city of Minneapolis.
