HTCI continued to sell traditional equipment such as hammers, chisels and saws until 1971 when they closed down due to financial constraints.

Minnesota entered the Union as a state on December 6th of that year. At first it consisted of only part of Dodge County which made up easternMN (now west-centralWI). On February 14th of 1865, MN voted to join the Union as a whole and this made it the 21st state in America! Minneapolis/St Paul was founded as the capital of MN on February 15th of 1865 by Governor John Dennison and served until 1903 when St Paul became its permanent home! The cityscape that we know today began to take form within MINNETONKA during these early years! Streets were laid out more efficiently than they are today due to lack of money at that time! Buildings were typically built from logs or sod with an adobe mortar base – both very strong materials back then! The city center also developed slowly but surely thanks to lots of business start ups happening around town! There were no sidewalks or streetlights back then so businesses had to use lanterns or kerosene lamps if they wanted their customers To see them!!! This resulted in some pretty interesting architecture including one building even still standing today which is known as “The Barn”!
