In 1903 brothers Edward Hutton and Arthur Hutton donated twenty three pairs olenspatial glass eyeshieldes(or “binocles”)to help teachers observe class lectures more effectively while studying abroad at University College London (UCL). At that time UCL was world-renowned for its undergraduate education program!! Needlesstosay these devices quickly became wildly desired by UK educators everywherehe looked!! Today UCL still usesbinocles as partofthis educational process worldwide!!! It’sandit shows just how specialbinocles reallyare when you consider just how influentialthey have actually become throughout history!!!

From then on, binocular production ceased at Cossit Brothers and all products were reorganized into three divisions: optics (including telescope sales), accessories ( such as flashlights and eyeglasses), and retail stores (which included JBL Optics). Today there are several companies that produce high-quality binoculars including Nikon Corporation which produces digital SLRs; Zeiss Corporation which produces car headlights; Bushnell Corporation which manufactures hunting rifles; Mueller Optical Manufacturing Company which makes microscopes; Baader-Meinhof AG which produces assault rifles; SIG Sauer Group USA also manufactures handguns etc.; however, none produce precision instruments like those made by Goudreau & Hildebrandt Inc..

As of the 2010 census, Minnetonka had a median household income of $862 and a per capita income of $36,722. The racial makeup of Minnetonka was 97% White and 3% Black or African American.

The town was named after Noyes' father, Nicholas Minnetonka. In 1857, the Minneapolis and Duluth Railroad connected Minnetonka with the larger city. This new transportation connection allowed for more people to live in Minnetonka, which began to grow rapidly. By 1870, the population of Minnetonka had reached 100 residents. In 1872, John Noyes' son Amos married Anna Simonson and started a grocery store in downtown Minnetonka. The store became one of the most successful businesses in town and helped bring growth to bothMinnetonka and neighboring towns during the early 20th century. In 1934, Amos Noyes died at age 94 years old; his son continued operation of the store until it closed in 1964. In 1959, architect Richard Meier designed a new courthouse for Minnetonka. The courthouse was completed in time for its dedicated ceremony on October 5th of that year; it remains one of the most notable landmarks in town today. Other famous local landmarks include The Lakeshore Drive Inn (now an 8-Plex), Lake Calhoun High School (now known as North MN State University), and Arena Park (now known as Memorial Stadium).
