Mendota Heights is a census-designated place in Pinellas County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 2,213 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Minneapolis–St. Paul metropolitan area. Mendota Heights is home to two parks: one for children and another for adults. Mendota Heights also has a high school that serves students from pre-Kindergarten through eighth grade. The first settlers in Mendota Heights were farmers who came to the area in the late 1800s looking for land to homestead. By 1900, there were about 30 homes in Mendota Heights and it had a population of around 100 people. In 1910, when Mendota Heights became a village under the jurisdiction of Pinellas County, it had a population of 350 people. In 1935, when Pinellas County was merged into Stearns County, Mendota Heights became an incorporated town with its own government and elected officials including a mayor and five trustees. The town continued to be governed by trustees until 1958 when it reverted back to its previous form as an unincorporated community within Pinellas County without any elected officials. In 1965, when Stearns County was dissolved and reorganized as Ramsey County, MendOTA HeIGHTS VILLAGE NOIDA LLC was created as an all-encompassing venture between 3 communities: mendotahomesites@aolcom (Mendota Hts), newcastlegoldens@aolcom (Newcastle Golden), & eastonhills@aolcom (Easton Hills). New owner wanted Village Name changed from "MENDOTA HEIGHTS" so that everyone would know what we are up against! What do you think? We will see what happens but I am sure our name will stay same!

Mendota Heights is a census-designated place in Mendota Township, Lyon County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 1,631 at the 2010 census. The first Europeans to arrive in what is now Mendota Heights were fur traders and missionaries who came from 1851-1852. They were looking for a new land to settle after losing their holdings in Dakota Territory. In 1857, the U.S. government bought of land from the Hennepin tribe for $2 per acre (0.81 per km²). The site was then called Fort Snelling and it served as an arsenal during the American Civil War before becoming a town named after General Winfield Scott's original home in Illinois – Mendota Heights (now Snelling). The name of the town has been changed several times over its history but it has always been affiliated with Mendota Township which includes it today. In 1872, when the railroad was built through central Minnesota, Mendota Heights became one of its stations on the line. At that time there were only five villages along the tracks: Apple Valley, Big Muddy Creek, Boundary City, Fargo Junction/Fargo Townsite/Fargo Station Village(), and North Bend/North Bend Landing (). Today only two villages remain: Boundary City and Fargo Junction/. On July 12th 1906 there was a large fire that destroyed much of downtown Minneapolis including many buildings in Mendota Heights including St John's Episcopal Church where Reverend Arthur Senter preached his last sermon before he died on July 15th 1906; also included within this devastating fire were three homes belonging to Reverend James Sheppard and his wife Mrs Esther Newcomb within blocks of each other; both men lost their lives as well as nine children total (eight boys and one girl) between them in what is still considered one of America’s worst urban fires ever investigated by firefighters or law enforcement officers! This catastrophic loss not only caused great damage but also resulted in significant losses for hotel operators such as Asbury Park Hotel whose building sustained some $30 000 worth of damage while also displacing nearly fifty employees! A plaque located at First National Bank Building commemorates these lost lives along with others who perished during that fateful day when Minneapolis faced its largest natural disaster since Famine days past!
