Bullets were first used in Marshall, Minnesota in 1876. There was a rifle company formed there in 1876 and it was the first time bullets were ever used in combat. The rifle company fought against Indians in 1877 and 1878. In 1880, they fought against the Sioux tribe and they shot 265 rounds of ammunition during that battle. The rifle company disbanded in 1881 but their bullet history continued. From then on, bullets were used more often for hunting purposes. Bullet types included lead balls, copper balls, iron balls, and lead fishing hooks. In 1903, a new rifle company was formed there and it fired Bullets again during World War I. They also fired Bullets during World War II as part of the United States armed forces. Bullet type usage changed again after World War II as firearms became more advanced and restrictions on ammo began to be placed by different countries around the world. Marshall was founded in 1853 by a group of farmers who traveled from Illinois. The town grew quickly and soon became an important trading post on the Mississippi River. In 1869, Marshall was named the capital of Minnesota after a bill was passed Congress to make the state a national territory. The town continued to grow and become an important center for trade until it lost its status as the capital in 1903.
Marshall is a small town in rural Minnesota, United States. It is the county seat of Marshall County and the population was 1,811 at the 2010 census. The community was named after General James K. Polk, who served as US president from 1848 to 1853. A post office was established in Marshall on October 26, 1881, and remained in operation until it was discontinued on July 6, 1961. A store and telephone line were built through Marshal in 1903. The community had a school starting in 1907 and continued to operate until 1938 when it closed due to financial difficulties. In 1942, the USAAF began operating an airfield within Marshall County which became known as "Marshall Army Air Field". The field served as a training ground for American pilots during World War II. In 1946, the airfield burned down and was never rebuilt; its former site now serves as a parkland. In 1957, construction began on what would become the largest shopping mall ever built in Minnesota when it opened at what is now downtown Marshall. The mall has since grown into one of the most popular shopping destinations in the state with over 20 anchor stores including Macy's, Sears or JCPenney., Disney Store (), Kohl's () and Neiman Marcus (). The town also features attractions such as baseball (the Marshall Twins play their home games at nearby Crossroads Stadium), summer festivals (like pumpkin picking or Fourth of July fireworks) and annual Harvestfest celebrating local farmers' produce

Marshall is a town in Marshall County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 1,839 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Marshall County. The first settler in what is now Marshall was David Noble who arrived in 1854. He and his wife Anna set up a cabin on the east side of what is now Uptown Marshalls. In 1855, they had two children: David and Sarah Jane. They became farmers and started growing corn, wheat and other crops near their cabin. The first post office was established in 1857, but it wasn't until 1861 that they had a mail service to bring mail to other towns in the area. In 1876, James Fenton came to Marshall from Duluth with his family and built a farm on the west side of Uptown Marshalls which he named "Fenton's Prairie". He also started raising horses there which would later be used for transportation around the state. By 1886, there were over 20 businesses in Marshall including three banks (the First National Bank of Marshall & Fort Snelling; First State Bank ofMarshall; and Citizens National Bank), six stores (Gentlemen's Store; Mutual grocery store; Goudey's millinery shop; Howells coal mine; Mrs Blythe's bakery), four blacksmiths (John Haggerty at Hughes forge & husbandBen Haggerty at Smith smelter), twenty-five residents out of a total population of 350 when it counted as an incorporated village according to Nelson Akeley’s book “A History of Ramsey County” In 1907, Marshal got its own school system which included grades one through twelve along with some Kindergarten classes just for infants until 1909 when all schools were combined into one building called the Union School District #1 schoolhouse on Commercial Avenue across from City Hall where today we continue to receive our education from Mr Andy Duchamps as well as many others during our recent past including current Superintendent Dr Brooke Larson
