The history of gun targets in Maple Grove dates back to at least the early 1800s. Two businesses, Grannis’ and Hendricks’, were located on the corner of Eighth and Cedar Streets. The first target was a man with a rifle over his shoulder, which was set up in 1825. At that time, there were only two families living in Maple Grove: the Broun family and the Neumann family. In 1851, John Dvorak took over Grannis’ business and began to set up targets forshooters at his place on Eighth Street. Dvorak became well-known in Maple Grove for his excellent target shooting skills, which helped contribute to the town’s reputation as a rigorous shooting destination. In 1865, JOSEPH HENRY KELLY opened up shop on Ninth Street opposite Grannis’ establishment. This new store continued to serve as a source of rental targets until 1911 when it burned down. At around this time, shotgunners started using gun targets as their primary means of practicing their armsmanship. Shotguns didn't become common among men in America until after World War I when they became available through military exchanges; however, target Shooting remained an important part of American culture throughout much of this period (including into the late 1920s). By 1928 there were more than 20 businesses operating within walking distance of each other in Maple Grove; however, by 1933 only six businesses remained open within that radius When Prohibition ended in 1933, many people who used guns for sport turned their tools against Prohibitionists instead by training them how to use handguns instead One reason whygun targets survived long after prohibition ended is because during those years many Americans still believed that guns could be used safely for lawful purposes such as hunting deer or turkey . Maple Grove is a small town in the Canadian province of Manitoba. It is located on the southern edge of the Rural Municipality of Maple Grove No. 148, about 18 km northwest of Winnipeg, Manitoba. The population as of the 2011 census was 714. The first settlers in what would become Maple Grove were George and Martha Stephenson who arrived in 1875 from Pembroke Township, Ontario. The Stephensons had two children, Emmalee and Clyde, and they started a farmstead near what is now Main Street. In 1886, Hennepin County acquired all of Manitoba from Canada and set aside land for farmers like the Stephensons to purchase. The rural municipality was formed on July 1st 1870 when the townships within Hennepin County were amalgamated into one entity under the direction of the Lieutenant Governor (later Sir John A Macdonald). Maple Grove became part of this new municipality by an act passed by Parliament on October 11th 1870. Maple Grove has been home to many people over its history including: Alexander Graham Bell; Jens Hansen; Ivan Torsvik; David Hudson; Log Cabin Lodge No. 1-Evelyn Mackenzie and log cabin lodge No 2-John Gudbrandson . There are also numerous businesses that have come and gone throughout its history such as: Jens Hansen's store which operated from 1906 until 1951; Glencoe Grain Elevator which closed down in 1979 but reopened in 1984 as a grocery store known as 'The Grocery Place'; Kwik Trip Mart which opened up in 1984 and closed down again in 2006 but reopened later that year as an impulse buy store known as 'Poppin' Apple'. Finally there is Maplegrove Cemetery which was founded in 1911 and contains graves for both men and women deceased since then including local politician Abel McLean who died suddenly at age 44 while serving his 3rd term as mayor of Maple Grove There are several interesting stories associated with Maple Grove that date back to its early days: For example, it is said that Alexander Graham Bell walked through town for hours just to hear someOfthepeopletalk! And even though he didn't live here very long after his arrival in 1890 - he left a lasting legacy behind by sponsoring various programs designed to help young people learn more about science and technology He also donated land adjacent to his home called "Old Bell Field" where students from local schools could practice their skills during summer months
