The town of Ham Lake grew rapidly during this time and many businesses were established including a grocery store, post office, physician’s office, hotel, restaurant, bowling alley, bank and several churches. Many people from outside of town came to work in these businesses or live there until they moved away again when technology changed or when industry shifted elsewhere.
