The town had its first school in 1881 and its first grocery store in 1889. In 1907, Fridley became the county seat of Dodge County. The economy of Fridley has been based primarily on agriculture since it was founded. Today, some manufacturing activities are also present within the community; these include automotive parts and parts for機械。 A new shopping center called "Town Square"opened in 2006 along with several other businesses within walking distance of each other near Interstate 94 and Highway 62. Fridley is home to two churches: First Baptist Church (founded 1865) and Christ United Methodist Church (founded 1912). There are also a few smaller groups that meet here including Jehovah's Witnesses and Mormons. There are no public schools within walking distance of Fridley so most residents attend private or parochial schools throughout their day which often offer better educational opportunities than public schools around Minneapolis-Saint Paul region

Fridley, Minnesota was founded in 1881 by Norwegian immigrants. The town is located in the northeastern corner of Minnesota and is part of the Minneapolis-St. Paul metropolitan area. Fridley has a population of over 6,000 people and is home to several businesses including Fridley Mall and the Fridley Library. The town's economy is based on agriculture and manufacturing. The first settlers in Fridley were Norwegians who came to the area from Larvik, Norway in 1881. They started a farm that produced hay, straw, cornmeal, flour, cheese, butter and potatoes. In 1911, two families moved from Minneapolis toFridley after purchasing land near the center of town. That year saw another boom for Fridley as developers bought tracts of land around the community for housing developments or other uses such as a movie theater or shopping center. In 1978, Fridley voters passed an ordinance establishing a city government with its own police department and fire department. The city was officially established on December 1st of that year when Mayor Fred Wessels presided over an inauguration ceremony at the old (now demolished) Methodist church located near downtown FridLEY
Fridley was founded in 1854 by Gustavus Adolphus Fridley and his wife, Anna. The town was named after the Fridleys' father, Georg August Fridley. It became a city in 1905. In 1944, the United States military burned down the old school building in Fridley to prevent it from being used as a munitions plant.
