In October 2011, it was announced that Brownells Firearms Corporation would be selling their arms business to Empire Arms Industries LLC for an undisclosed sum of money. This change means that all future production for theForest Lake Armory will now take place at Empire Arms Industries LLC's manufacturing facility in Appleton, Wisconsin rather than at their Fort Worth headquarters where they currently operate.
