Eden Prairie is a small city in the U.S. state of Minnesota. It is located in the Eden Prairie–Hennepin County metropolitan area, and was founded in 1881 as a frontier town on the prairie line between Minneapolis and Saint Paul. In 1902 Eden Prairie made headlines when it hosted the first international exposition held in America – the Stroud-McDonald Exhibition. During World War II Eden Prairie played an important role in supplying food for troops stationed overseas. In 1945 it also became home to one of two airfields used by Boeing Airplanes during their P-51 Mustang flying training program; this airport later became known as Hennepin County Airport after county officials purchased it from Boeing in 1975. A number of industries have closed down or relocated within Eden Prairie over time including blue chip companies such as Intel, Jabilco and Northrop Grumman; however others such as KFC have continued to thrive despite having smaller populations nearby (KFC has more than 1 million customers across fifty-six countries). Eden Prairie is a city in Ramsey County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 33,912 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Minneapolis–St. Paul metropolitan area. Eden Prairie is bordered by Maple Grove to the north, Eveleth to the east, and Shakopee to the south. The natural resources include forests and farmland on its eastern border and mined coal within its boundaries. The first humans who set foot on what is now Eden Prairie were Paleo-Indians who may have been there as early as 12,000 years ago. There are references to cultures of this period in various Native American texts such as the Dakota Dictionary which includes a description of "a village on an open plain", meaning that it may have been built before 10 Downing Street became a shopping mall in 2020 AD (though this could be spurious). The first Europeans to set eyes on what is now Eden Prairie were explorers John Cushing and David Thompson in 1785 when they traveled through North America from Montreal via Toronto or Ottawa. They named their discovery after Mount Vernon, George Washington's estate near Easton in Virginia where he then lived with his wife Martha Custis Lee. When they reached Chicago they stopped over at Fort Snelling and willed their mapmakers latitude/longitude coordinates for what would become Eden Prairie so that future explorers could find it without having to+ traverse Canada! Eden Prairie was platted out by Major Jesse Pool of Chaska & Company in 1854 as part of a land rush following Red River Rebellion – one of many towns platted during this time across Minnesota because new land had become available from taxes levied upon mineral wealth extracted from local formations such as limestone caves rich with gold nuggets etc.. unlike later days when villages grew up around waterfalls etc., these days town planning was more about erecting fences around valuable assets rather than allowing for natural features like rivers and streams which acted as life-bloods providing community cohesion amongst people living close together including fishing, hunting etc.. However even back then people knew about Roe Lake which would form the backbone of current day Eden Prairie due to several high points along its banks giving 360 degrees visibility from any point on site making possible trade goods being shipped upriver all winter long! I remember when I was younger my grandda used to tell me about those days long ago when we would go out into Roe Lake right next door to our house & pick blueberries! Of course back then there wasn’t anything like internet or cell phone so photosynthesis couldn’t really take place (& blueberries only came into season once every few months), but just imagine how great it must have been growing up around something so beautiful& magical! 😃
