In 1976, two brothers, Don and Tim Kline decided to open a gun shop called “Kline’s Gun Shop.” The store became one of the first in the area to sell assault rifles (AR-15s) and other firearms. In 1979, Don Kline passed away but his sons Tim and Rick continued the family business. As time went on, they developed relationships with some of the biggest names in firearms manufacturing including Colt Firearms Company and Glock Corporation. They also started selling ammunition and accessories for these brands. Around this time, there were numerous changes taking place within society. The economy was starting to improve as new technologies emerged such as MTV led to increased interest in firearms. This gave rise to a whole new generation of AR-15 owners who were ready for something different than what their predecessors had offered them. So too did the demand for high quality products from these customers; Kline’sGunShop always delivered on that promise! In 1992, Don Kline III took over running the business from his father after he passed away. He was an experienced retailer and entrepreneur who knew how important it was for his son to keep things moving forward at Klines Gun Shop while continuing to provide top-quality customer service. Under his leadership, growth continued throughout the decade as more people discovered AR-15s as a source of fun or self-defense weapon options available online or through small boutiques around town! In 2012, Don Jr., Timmy & Rick opened up another store called BigEye Guns in Stillwater which quickly became one of MN’s leading gun stores! As a result, many residents fled to other states during that time period. However, many managed to keep their homes and businesses through hard times. By 1900, Eden Prairie had become one of the most populous towns located within a radius of Minneapolis or St Paul; it contained over 2,000 people! During World War II, Eden Prairie played an important role as an airbase supplying planes carrying supplies into battle from nearby Duluth-Superior Airport. Many industries have thrived here since then such as heavy industry (manufacturing), health care (hospitality), retail stores (local farmers markets), and agriculture (farming). In recent years Eden Prairie has seen increasing development around its downtown core with several new buildings being constructed including a library/theater/centerspace and more than just single-family dwellings These days there are also several bars and restaurants located around town while still keeping much of its rural feel

In 1862, Isaac Haas settled here with his family and started two businesses- a store and tannery. By 1865, many farmers had moved into this area due to advances in transportation and irrigation technologies which made growing crops possible near water supplies like Cedar Rapids and Mankato. In 1959, when Eden Prairie became an incorporated municipality it named itself after Garden City, Kansas – one of its earliest settlers – because that’s where downtown currently stands today (originally built on land donated by Hargrave). At that time there were just 5 families living here; today’s population exceeds 30 thousand people! The original downtown square still stands today - complete with statue of pioneer Mrs Lynda Smedley (1847-1915), first female postmaster in America Only 2 blocks away from downtown you can find theOriginalMall which served as the heart of town until it closed its doors in 1990 after over 25 years serving customers from all corners of Minnesota Today's Economic Development District includes 3 Mosaic Museums including Saint Cloud State University's Art Gallery & Museum (opened in 2009)., Stcloud State University's College/ vocational campus(opened 2005),andthe Eveglen Center for Arts & Culture.(opened 2002) Most recently construction has been underway onWeisman Center – home to Twins Cities FC hockey team (2013-) across from Damen Arena
Eden Prairie was founded in 1854 as a farmstead on the east side of Eden Prairie Creek. The first settler in what is now Eden Prairie was John Smyth, who arrived in 1855. In 1862, John and his wife Mary moved to the present-day town of Eden Prairie and started a small grocery store. In 1867, the Smyths hired Amos Eaton as their general manager and Eaton's family ran the business until it closed in 1922. The town's first school was built in 1865 by Mrs. Fenton with funds from her husband George Fenton. The First National Bank opened its doors in 1870 and served as the town's primary financial institution for many years. Over time, other businesses such as clothing stores, meatpacking plants, post office boxes, convenience stores and a movie theater were opened up around the town center. When Highway 52 was constructed through Eden Prairie in 1954, it became an important artery for trade and commerce within the community.
