This holster consisted of a piece of leather stretched over a bandoleer and fastened to either side of the calf with clasps. It was worn around the ankle and allowed for easy draw and release while traveling or hunting. In 1892, Wm Jourdain started manufacturing holsters for farmers in Coon Rapids. His company produced holsters made out of buffalo horn, deer skin, or snake skin straps reinforced with metal hardware and rivets. These holsters were often decorated with animal horns or other details which gave them their unique appearance. Coon Rapids is a small town in south-central Minnesota, United States. The population was 1,415 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Minneapolis–St. Paul metropolitan area. The population grew rapidly after World War II, and Coon Rapids became an incorporated city in 1958. The first settlers in what would become Coon Rapids were Methodist missionaries who came to the area in 1854. They established a school and church here soon after and started farming land around present-day Coon Rapids Creek. In 1872, they built a toll road between their farmsteads and Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania so that goods arriving from that direction could be carried intoMinnesota without being unloaded at some point on the way downriver. At various points throughout its history, Coon Rapids has been known as Davenport or Appleton (the first post office was established here in 1865). Eventually it adopted its current name of Coon Rapids in 1908 when it annexed the villages of Appletown (now Appleton) to its west bank waterfront district. At this time much of the surrounding farmland had been bought by Jesse Ladd for his new steel company’s plant now located on University Avenue just east of downtown Minneapolis; Ladd donated all but about one acre (0 0 00 acres) of his land for incorporation intoCoon Rapids Township on February 16, 1908 according to official records filed with the township clerk’s office that year The village had a population of 283 people when it incorporated; by 1950 its population had grown to 636 people living within walking distance of downtown where they could shop at local businesses or take public transportation to their jobsites across town . By 1975 C RTA buses served as primary means of transportation withinCoon Rapids limits with stops at each end near Main Street North & South
The Coon Rapids area was first settled in 1854 by Emigrant George A. Smith and his family. The area became a rural community after the railroads arrived. In 1907, the area was annexed by Minneapolis and St. Paul. The town of Coon Rapids was founded in 1909, but it merged with other towns in 1961 to form the current city of Minneapolis-St.Paul.
