Hennepin took over operations of the store. In 1999, Harry A. Hennepin retired from business operations and his son John T.'s ownership took over responsibility for the store. From 1999-2006, John T.'s wife Dawn Lissenson ran the business as a sideline venture until she sold it to her husband Tim Lissenson in 2006. The current owner is Sarah Jorgensen who bought it from her husband Tim in 2016
Brooklyn Park, Minnesota is a town in Clearwater County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 781 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Minneapolis–Saint Paul metropolitan area. Brooklyn Park was founded in 1854 by Andrew Carnegie and his family as a small farming community on the banks of the Mississippi River. It became a milltown after two sisters bought land near Brooklyn Park in 1865. The town grew rapidly during the late 19th century due to its location on the main railroad line between Chicago and St. Paul, as well as its natural gas production and lead mining industries. In 1907 Brooklyn Park became an incorporated city and remained so until it joined the Minneapolis-St. Paul Metropolitan Area in 1996. The center of Brooklyn Park has been characterized as "a busy intersection of streets that converge at Broadway Junction," with a variety of businesses including several banks, several churches, libraries, doctor's offices, schools (including one high school), a post office and several bars/restaurants. The downtown area features an art deco style building called "The Art House" which was built in 1926 for local artist Harry Smithson and later used by radio personality Bob Barker; it is now home to the Brooklyn Park Historical Museum and also contains several apartments restored through Historic Preservation efforts led by Mayor Keith Ellison and City Councilmember Janee Harteau

In 1924, Easton's incorporation into Brooklyn PARK resulted in an overall decrease in population to 926 residents from 1,041 residents; however, it remains the only municipality inBrooklyn Park that has never been incorporated into another local government.
