In 1923, Henry Janssen started manufacturing gun targets out of aluminum material at his factory on East Sixth Street inBrooklyn Center. This factory would be responsible for making many different types of gun targets including airsoft and real firearms Targets continued to be manufactured here until the early 1990s when production moved to China. Gun targets history in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota began with the first shooting at a rifle range on October 15, 1871. The Rifle and Pistol Club of Brooklyn Center used a wood-fired cannon to shoot targets from a distance of around 10 yards. From this initial venture, Rifle and Pistol Club members would go on to engage in other types of target shooting events throughout the years. One of the earliest gun clubs inBrooklyn Center was formed on November 1, 1872 by Prentice A. Ketchum and others who were interested in using firearms for sport rather than protection. The club soon became known as the Brooklyn Centers Gun Club and continued to operate out of various locations including the old Masonic Temple building until it burned down in 1906. In 1899, when rifle ranges became available outside of educational institutions, the Brooklyn Centers Gun Club again became involved intargeting events. They staged their first match at what is now CenturyLink Field after playing host to an event there several months earlier. At this point, they had become well-known within Minneapolis gun circles for their hosting of matches that featured both rifles and pistols. The club would continue staging matches at different venues throughout its existence before finally shutting down due to financial difficulties in 1925. However, portions of their archives remain extant including membership records and photos from their early days as well as some archived ammunition patents filed by them during that time period

In recent years there has been an increase in businesses moving into Downtown BrooklynCenter such as restaurants like Pizzeria Paradiso which relocated from Ridgemont Mall; bars/lounge spaces like Frankie's Sports Bar & Grill which opened up shop inside Brooklyns first ever super market; as well as new apartment buildings being developed such as One Borough Hall (now part of neighbors Mpls.) Ixtaposition: In Midtown Minneapolis located just across Nicollet Avenue from Downtown BrooklynCenter there are several high-end boutiques/ Retail stores including Saks Fifth Avenue and Neiman Marcus while also located throughout Midtown are several large restaurant chains with names like Applebee's, Denny's Jr., Chili's Pizza Hut etc.; all within easy walking distance
