The ordinance also established regulations concerning lighted pistols and shotguns while hunting or fishing within city limits. In 1916, an amendment to the Minneapolis Municipal Code declared that all handguns must be brandished with a muzzle brake when carried outside of buildings or upon public property where such weapons are known to be kept or possessed by individuals other than members of law enforcement officers engaged in their official duties as determined by an officer separate from the general administration of justice. In addition, handgun possession was limited to those who held a valid license to own a pistol and had paid special taxes for such ownership at the time. In 1933, gunlight use was discontinued on Minneapolis Police Department vehicles effective November 1st due to budgetary reasons; however, it continued on patrol cars until 1937 when all firearms were phased out statewide as part of broader changes affecting policing strategy nationwide.

Brooklyn Center is a city in Brooklyn, New York, United States. The population was 24,713 at the 2010 census. It is the seat of Brooklyn District 1 and the principal business and cultural center of Borough Park. The first settlement in what is now Brooklyn was made up of farmers who came overland from Pennsylvania in 1764. They named their town after General James Webb (1755-1828), a signer of the Declaration of Independence and one of America's most celebrated generals. Brooklyn Centerville was laid out in 1872 by George Biddlecombe Jr., a developer with links to both Republican Party bosses in New York City and Andrew Johnson himself. At its peak, Brooklyn Centerville had around 100 residents; today it has about 20. The area became known as "The Borough" because it lay within then single municipal boundaries until 1917 when New York City annexed all but Lower Manhattan east of Houston Street – including Borough Park – making it part of its newly created metropolis under Mayor John F Kennedy’s administration (1961–1968). In 1898, Transportation Secretary Levi Strauss & Co.'s new factory opened at 4th Avenue & 45th Street which soon became known as "The Factory". In 1902 construction began on what would become Barclays Center—then just a small lot on 7th Avenue between Amsterdam Avenue and 23rd Street—the world's first professional ice rinknasium (and also home to Madison Square Garden during times when that arena was used for other events). In 1905 Ivar Kreuger founded Paramount Pictures Corporation with his brother Theo Epstein which soon produced films like "Titanic" and "Roadside Attractions". On July 15th 1907,[1] Broadway Elevated Railway Company Line 5 went into operation between Myrtle Beach Downtown Depot Station[2][3] located north side street corner 4 blocks east Side streets south side streets between Myrtle Beach Main street[4][5][6] Line 5 crossed Atlantic Boulevard South from Depot station due south side street corner 3 Blocks W from depot line crossed Dutchman's Creek on Ferry Road North Bridge across Ferry Road crossing Androscoggin County line . Broadway Elevated Railway Company Line 5 continued running along this route still being called “Broadway” Railroad Trackage remain same today disused express bus rapid transit service stops @ locations noted below 6 blocks W from Depot station
The area that is now Brooklyn Center, Minnesota was first settled by the Hennepin County government in 1851. The town of Brooklyn Center was incorporated on December 1, 1868. It was named for theBrooklyn Heights neighborhood in New York City. In 1870, a railroad line called the Minneapolis and Rock Island Railroad (M&RI) was built through Brooklyn Center and connected it with Minneapolis. The M&RI became part of the Union Pacific Railroad in 1901. The Brooklyn Center Manufacturing Company was founded in 1912 and manufactured goods such as radios, televisions, autos, appliances and other items. In 1964, the company merged with two other companies to become Western Electric Corporation. At its peak during the 1960s and 1970s, Western Electric Corporation employed over 2,000 people in Brooklyn Center. However, due to economic decline throughout most of North America during that period, the corporation closed its doors in 1984. Since then, there has been little activity at or near Brooklyn Center except for occasional retail stores opening up around Intersection 6th Street which is home to several small businesses along with a few residences
