Bloomington, Minnesota is home to the world’s oldest binocular company. The business was founded in 1868 by a man named Edward A. Smith and his son-in-law Jacob M. Howells. Over time, the company grew and became one of the most successful in its industry. In 1927, they merged with another binocular company, Osmond Brothers Company, and continued to grow until their incorporation as a public company in 1934. Today, the binocular business isowned by The Zoething Corporation which operates out of Bloomington under the name “Binoculous Eye Inc." The history of binoculars can be traced back to 1868 when two men named Edward A. Smith and Jacob M. Howells founded a binocular company in Bloomington, Minnesota. At that time, Binoculous Eye was one of the most successful companies in its industry because it produced top quality eyeglasses at an affordable price point for consumers all over the world. In 1927, they merged with another binocular company, Osmond Brothers Company; however this merger did not result in any additional growth or success for Binoculous Eye either domestically or internationally. However, this didn't stop them from continuing to produce high quality eyeglasses despite their lack of success abroad; instead they focus on developing new products that would help them stay afloat and continue making money while expanding their empire here at home! In 1934, Binoculous Eye incorporated as a publiccompany thanks to generous donations from individuals and businesses alike (including many notable members of Bloomington’s community). They continue to operate successfully today as one of North America’s leading optical manufacturers with over 200 years of experience! Bloomington is a city in the U.S. state of Minnesota and the county seat of Morrison County. The population was 54,853 at the 2010 census, making it the seventh-largest city in Minnesota. It began as a small town on a branch of the Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul and Pacific Railroad in 1892 and became an incorporated municipality in 1897. At that time, Bloomington was one of only two cities in Minnesota without an express train service to its downtown location. Bloomington's history goes back even further than that: It was founded as a small town on October 14th, 1892 by Amos Kendall and his wife Sarah Goode Kendall from Waukesha County Wisconsin Territory (now Milwaukee) with land obtained from Indian tribes under Treaty 3 (1868). The townsite lay just east of what is now Interstate 94 at what is now known as Park Avenue South near what is today's Morningside Heights neighborhood on Minneapolis’ north side – less than one mile west of where current-day Bloomington stands today (the original site for Bloomington’s football stadium had been developed between Park Avenue South and 14th Street South by then-Mayor David Lane). In 1896, when Bloominton became an incorporated municipality, it had a population totaling just over 100 individuals; by 1910 it had grown to nearly 2,000 people! One reason why Bloomington grew so quickly during this time was because outside investors were soon attracted to its statistical potential as a rapidly growing major urban center located near two universities which were both highly respected nationally: The University of Minnesota System (then part ofimarized into individual colleges) ranked number one nationally among public universities according to Forbes magazine’s “ collegiate guidebook” for 1903; moreover, Morrison County had become one of the fastest growing counties in America due to rapid population growth following passage of laws encouraging agricultural production throughout much of ruralMinnesota! The first buildings constructed within Blossominton boundaries were residences for Amos Kendall and his family – These early structures still stand today along Park Avenue South including Mrs. Kendall’s home which still features period features such as hand carved pillars supporting rooflines and intricate stained glass windows typical during this time frame; inside these homes can be found interesting artifacts such as dolls made out OF wax or any typeOf toy ever made….Today these same artisans continue their craftsmanship inside MrsKendalls home & others located nearby on Park Ave S
Bloomington was founded in 1838 by Joel Barlow and David Dixon as a trading post on the Minnesota River. It became a town in 1855. Bloomington was named for John Bloomingdale, an early settler. The city was incorporated in 1892. Bloomington is the county seat of McLeod County.
