One popular item for sale at antique stores and museums is ammo boxes from early Texas rifle shoots called "The Open Range." These boxes feature authentic cowboy rifles shot with Winchester rounds dating back to 1876. Austin also has one of the most comprehensive collections of muzzleloader ammunition on earth. This collection includes over 100 cannons and cannon balls that were used during various frontier battles including The Battle of Big Springs against Native American tribes in 1865. Additionally, there are several small arms pieces from throughout this period that are currently on display at the National Firearms Museum in Richardson, Texas. Despite its rich firearm history, Austin is also home to someof America's oldest retail gunfire stores: The Armoury & Gunsmiths Store opened in 1851 and continued business until 1966 when it was purchased by Mid-America Reinforced Doors Corporation (MARA). MARA donated their store building to THE ATTACK ON AMERICA Museum for use as an exhibit hall before it closed down completely in 2006. Austin is a small city in the U.S. state of Minnesota, located on the east side of the Stroudsburg River. The population was 5,952 at the 2010 census. Austin is home to Texas Roadhouse and has been called "the place where country music was born." The city was named after Captain James Hogg (1785-1855), who explored and mapped much of what is now Minnesota in 1824-25. He founded Austin, Minnesota on April 3, 1825 following his journey from Fort Snelling in Dakota Territory to Independence Rock near present day Minneapolis. The first settler here was John Myrick, who arrived in 1827 with his wife Sarah and their three children. By 1830, about 60 people had moved into Austin from all over the United States for its fertile soil and mild climate - many of whom were farmers or fur traders looking for new markets for their products. The town grew rapidly because of its location along a major road and its natural resources: timber, water supplies, coalitions (a type of agriculture that used teams of oxen pulling wagons carrying goods up hills to be shipped downriver), cattle ranching and agriculture as well as prostitution which helped support nearby villages during this time period. In 1853 Congress passed an act authorizing construction of a railroad between Minneapolis and Saint Paul; Austin became one of the towns along that line designated to receive passenger trains service only. The railroad arrived here in 1865 but it wasn't until 1888 thatAustin's first hotel opened – a two-story structure built by local builder Jacob Hertzelhoff on land donated by wealthy businessman George Luedtke Sr.. That same year also saw the opening of what would eventually become one of downtown Austin's most iconic landmarks: Texas Roadhouse – now known as Hotel ZaZa! It wasn't until 1949 when Interstate 94 bypassed Austin entirely – making it an even smaller community within today’s metropolitan area – but by then it had already experienced some significant growth due to nearby military installations such as Marine Corps Air Station Rochester (now Marine Corps Air Station Yankton) located just south of town on Governors Highway/Hwy 631; Fort Snelling Army Base to the north; Minnehaha Native American Reservation adjacent to town off County Road #2 just west; Rice Lake less than 20 miles away across county Rd #4; plus several thousand auto sales vehicles driving through every week during summer months bringing Jobs & Investment right into town center! In 1971 Mayor Donny Olson announced plans for annexing neighboring Rice Lake Village which at that time totaled approximately 2200 residents including 400 businesses! This led eventually to annexation by Austin proper with rice lake village becoming an official part OF THE CITY OF AUSTIN IN 1974!!! Today there are over 12K people living within walking distanceof downtown including more than 5000 businesses providing essential economic services!!

After the war ended, the community slowly rebound but remained smaller than other towns in the area. In 1951, Austin became an incorporated municipality with a mayor-council form of government. During this time it experienced significant growth with 3,000 residents becoming citizens over the next several years. However, after two terms as Mayor-Council there were no major changes until 2009 whenMayor Greg Selinger was elected to succeed him and held office for four years before being replaced by current Mayor Steve Leahey who has served since January 1st 2017
