Warren, Michigan is located in the heart of the Upper Peninsula and home to some of the most unique firearms traditions in all of America. The city’s rich history includes a significant role in both rifle manufacturing and gun rights movements that have shaped American culture. In 1871, Warren was founded as a small town on the western edge of the Upper Peninsula by farmers looking for a place to raise crops and raise their families. By 1912, Warren had become one of the largest communities in Michigan, with over 100 businesses and 1,000 residents. The roots of today’s Ar15 upper receivers industry can be traced back to 1916 when Jack Weaver started making rifles in his Adirondack factory in Warren. Jack Weaver is credited with being one of the first manufacturers to use forged 7075-T6 aluminum receivers for his guns. From there, other manufacturers quickly followed suit, starting up shops throughout Michigan. In 1950, Donney Firearms began producing rifles under license from Winchester Repeating Arms Company (WRA). At that time, Donney was one of only a few companies manufacturing rifles under contract from major firearms manufacturers such as Winchester and Colt Manufacturing Company (CMC). By 1970, Ar15 upper receivers manufacture had reach its current size and location within Warren proper. With so many players on the market at any given time, it took some time for Ar15 Upper Receiver Manufacturers Association (ARMA) to coalesce into what we know today as AR15 URBAN REFLECTORS ASSOCIATION (URBA). A trading post called Fort Wayne was built here during this time and served as a base of operations for both Indian traders and military forces against U.S. Indians during this time period- including Major General Anthony Wayne's forces that fought against Native American rebels under Sitting Bull at Battle Hodgepodge on November 15-17, 1870 (known as "The Great White Chief"). In 1835–36 Samuel Slater purchased about four acres (16 hectares) of land north of current day Warren off Shiawassee River for $1 per acre from John Davenport Jr., one of America's first settlers west of the Appalachian Mountains after initial exploration by Frenchmen and British fur trappers in North America began in 1604 CE . In 1840 Slater subdivided his property into lots measuring between 100 feet wide by 50 feet deep which were sold publically at auction to raise money to purchase other interests within his holdings such as horses ranching equipment etc.. On December 3rd 1840 US$5 gold pieces were offered for each lot sold at an auction organized by local musketeer James Howland Sr along with fellow entrepreneurs Nathan Hatch and Salmon Pailman among others businessmen interested in developing this new territory called “Michigan Territory” stretching across present day Muskegon County between Huron Peninsula on one side and Mackinac Island on another side some twenty miles long if not more due westward thence flowing through Ottawa County into State Of Michigan where it would eventually join with Ontario County forming today’s Oakland County...Slater divided his holdings into three tracts totaling 640 acres nearly equal parts forested upland areas drained wetlands….. Slater donated all but 144 acres adjacent to Clinton Township which are now part of town limits… Switched hands several times naming various trustees until finally receiving final authority from Congress over properties donation/division May 1st 1846 when then Territorial Governor Moses Prentice ceded ownership title deeds…. After years of struggles numerous roads were built connecting various points within present day Warren including main road running northeasterly now known as M-40 just southwest corner milepost 523 eastbound mainline US highway 2 joining up with state highway 231 linking downtown Lansing with Grand Rapids via Ionia Hills Farmington Hills just northwest corner milepost 626 eastbound mainlineUS Highway 10 joining up with state highways 9 & 11 near town limits today

There has been a lot of discussion about the history of the AR15 upper receiver, but very little is known about when and how these rifles were first designed. In 1964, David Blitzer began work on developing a new design for the AR15 lower receiver that would become known as the A3. This revisions increased accuracy and reliability while reducing weight. In 1998, Colt produced their own version of the AR15 that incorporated this newer design, which became known as the M4A1. These rifles are still in use today by various militaries around the world.

The first mass-produced AR-15 upper receivers were made in 1996. The rifle was designed as an infantry weapon, and as such it featured a number of refinements over the earlier M1 Garand.
