Marshall also played an important role in developing both local government structures in TerritorialMichigan through his efforts to create county governments alongSnake River drainage basin while also working unsuccessfully unsuccessfully behalf of State legislators to have MIPASS approved by Congress making Michigan part ofthe United States! During this time period too there were other significant developments within town limits including construction of churches/synagogues/museums/educational institutions etc., all while serving as vital social hubs which helped support local economic growth. One example is The Masonic Lodge #2 located at 9 Main Street which servedmorph into what is now known as “The Silver Bell Saloon” after being purchased by Dr. Smedley Butler who operated it until 1861 when it was converted into municipal property used for public school purposes before finally becoming The Masonic Temple ornamenting current day Fourth Avenue! Another example is Stroud’s Tavern which functioned successfully from 1838-1849 before closing due to financial difficulties; it reopened under new management in 1850 under name The Old Pawnbrokerage but closed again due largelyto poor patronage) .
