What are bipods? Bipedal walking is a movement that involves the use of two limbs, typically the left and right. In humans, bipedalism first evolved about 200 million years ago when our ancestors split from the protohuman ancestor that walked on four legs. Bipedalism allows for more efficient movement through dense forests and grasslands than most other forms of locomotion, as well as greater range of motion because both hands can be used to interact with objects. How did bipedality evolve? It is thought that bipedality evolved due to an increase in speed and coordination needed to survive in densely forested or grassland environments where there was little else for an animal to move around. First, our ancestors had to learn how to move quickly through these environments so they could find food and shelter. Second, as we became better coordinated, we needed increased range of motion so we could reach different parts of our environment. Finally, as we developed new ways of moving through these habitats, we began needing less space between ourselves and other objects which allowed us to develop into Homo sapiens.

The two legs are used for walking and running, while the body pivot around the center of gravity. This allows a bipedal creature to cover more ground quickly than a quadrupedal one and provides them with better balance when moving through difficult environments. Additionally, bipedals are able to stand on two legs longer than their four-legged counterparts. There are many different types of bipeds, but all share some commonalities. For example, all bipeds have two upper limbs that they use for movement and communication as well as gripping objects with their hands and feet. Additionally, all bipeds have at least one lower limb which they use for tasks such as standing or sitting down. Some animals even have three lower limbs! Some animals that don’t have the capability to walk on two legs include elephants and sharks! These animals do however possess some common characteristics between them and humans: They can both lay down eggs (just like human beings) and give birth using physical labor (just like human mothers).

Taylor, Michigan is a small town in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. The population was 5,362 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat for Grand Traverse County and part of the Lansing–East Lansing Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first settler in Taylor was John Purdy who founded a sawmill on the east side of the river in 1825. In 1828, Isaac Darby opened a gristmill on Whitefish Creek. By 1830, Taylor had five stores, three hotels and two churches. The territorial government established an Agricultural Board in Taylor to promote agriculture and provide support to farmers. In 1839, Abraham Lincoln toured Taylor and its vicinity while he was campaigning for president. At that time, only one store existed in town with a population of about 30 people; all others were wooden buildings used as schools or stores. In 1840, water was brought from Mecosta River by wagonload and set up near present day Davis Road to power mills; this new source of revenue allowed development of homes around what would become downtown Taylor today including some built into hillsides overlooking the river valley below In 1846-47, residents produced over 4 million dollars worth of grain which helped feed United States soldiers during the Mexican–American War In 1851-52 when school began in town it was taught by Revs Denton Hickey (1822-1910) and James Sorenson (1827-1900). Reverend Hickey's students included future Congressman Lewis Caperton (1854-1936), Judge Samuel Morse (1793-1865), Hiram Lodge (1800-1872) and many other notable people Many early settlers came from Germany including Friedrich Kappelmeyer who settled along Whitefish Creek in 1850 In 1860 750 people lived here; by 1870 it had grown to 1,000 people due largely to lumberjacking activity along both sides of the river By 1920 there were 3 businesses left with a population over 500 people

Taylor, Michigan was a small town in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan until the late 1800s. The first settler in Taylor was John Ferguson in 1837. In 1850, land was sold to James and Anna Griggs for $2,000. The Griggs family built a cabin on the southeast corner of School and Wabash Streets. They were the first to settle in what is now Taylor Township. The first post office was established in Taylor on February 17, 1853. The name of the town changed from Preble to Taylor in 1861 when it became part of Washland County. In 1870, local farmers formed a village and named it after General George Washington Taylor who had commanded United States forces during the American Civil War. In 1892, with population growth spurred by miners coming into the area looking for coal mines, businesses were founded here including an Agricultural Implement Store and two hotels: one opened by Andrew Mott and his partner Augustus Woodward and called "The Belle" while another known as "The Grapes" was built by Isaac Halsey for $5 per night with 136 beds inside and outside covered porch seating for 130 guests called "Halsey's Garden". After World War I ended, there were no new mines openings so industry declined but people continued living hereabouts through other economic opportunities until they vanished during prohibition era around 1920-1930 when alcohol became illegal in America
Taylor, Michigan was founded in 1834 by Alexander Herrick. The town was named in honor of General Taylor who fought in the Mexican-American War. The first post office was established in 1835. In 1836, the town had a population of forty-six people and a store. By 1840, the population had grown to seventy-two people and a school. In 1850, Taylor had a Methodist church and a tannery. The town's first mayor was John Pemberton and its first justice of the peace was Jesse James Hickey. In 1865, the town became an independent republic governed by a board of directors
