In the early 1800s, Sturgis was a small town in Michigan that served as the center of the firearms trade. The town's main industry was Arms and Ammunition, which produced rifles and pistols for the local militia and hunters. In 1892, however, Sturgis became the capital of Michigan due to its location on the state's Upper Peninsula. As a result, firearms businesses began to move from Detroit to Sturgis in an attempt to be closer to their customers. This led to an increase in firearm manufacturing activity in Sturgis, which helped create one of America's leading centers for firearms production. Over time, gun manufacturers has made different contributions to firearm t-shirts history. Some of these companies have had a long history with firearms; others have only been active during particular periods in Gun History T-Shirts' timeline. This purchase allowed Colt Firearms Company access to additional patents related to shotgun design that it had not been able to use under its own name before. With this new source of assistance, Colt began development of what would become its iconic Model 1873 Shotgun – one of America’s most popular shotguns for decades! From here on out, Colt Firearms Company would continue developing innovative shotgun designs untilits closure in 1912! Browning ArmsCompany continued making rifles through World War II despite being formally shut down by Congress after Pearl Harbor! However, brownings remained highly influential within American riflery into the postwar period thanks both TO their ongoing innovation and their legacy as an affordable budget option for shooters everywhere! In fact, Browning arms remains one of the most recognizable rifle brands outside North America today! Following WW2 ended hostilities between America and Japan,, Browning resumed product production but did so utilizing resources available post war – ensuring quality control over all products prioritizes peacetime production!!! ruger also enjoyed success post world war 2 with new models like blackhawkGUY ,compact 45 ,andaroni shoulder stocks .all models were unique with individual details .

The Sturgis Rifle and Pistol Club was founded in 1892, the first gun club in Michigan. The club met at the old Masonic Lodge on Main Street. In 1903, the Sturgis Rifle and Pistol Club organized a shooting competition which became known as the "Sturgis Tournament". From 1904 to 1912, the club staged annual rifle and pistol matches at Red Cloud Park. In 1945, the Sturgis Rifle and Pistol Club organized its own team for World War II service. The team placed fourth in a national tournament but won two medals at international tournaments.
Sturgis is a small town in the Great Lakes region of Michigan. It has been called "the crossroads of the Midwest" for its location at the junction of two major road systems, one east-west and the other north-south. The population was 1,951 as of 2010. The first permanent settler in what is now Sturgis was James Sloan in 1824. He built a cabin on the west side of today's Southeast corner of Main Street and First Road. This initial settlement grew to include over 100 families by 1830. By 1836, all but three houses were built and it became an official post office, with James Sloan as the first postmaster. In 1837, Simeon Stover arrived from Illinois and purchased land east of present day downtown Sturgis from James Sloan for $1 per acre (about $10 million today). After some challenges getting his new community off the ground – including several failed starts – he finally founded what would become known as Sturgis on July 6, 1847. At that time it consisted only of a few logs buildings near where Main Street meets East Second Road (now Park Avenue). One early resident, Isaac Morse, donated land near where Union Depot now stands to help finance the town's initial growth; construction began shortly thereafter and continued until 1850! The first store opened in what is now Sears Square on October 26th, 1850 just four days after incorporation! In that year also came electric lighting through a wire service provided by Simeon Stover himself! A rapid growth ensued during these years which can be observed in both population totals and property values: by 1860 there were over 400 residents living in what is now downtown Sturgis; by 1870 this had increased to nearly 700! By 1880 even more had moved into town proper with 1,000 residents residing within its limits! During this period too numerous churches were erected including First Presbyterian (1860), Christ Church (1862), Methodist Episcopal (1864), then Baptist (1868) before finally becoming Evangelical Lutheran church in 1888!!! Today still standing are those original wooden buildings dating back to 1847: they offer beautiful views down Main Street from their location just south of today’s southeast corner street intersection! In 1861 local politics took center stage when Judge John Pyle unseated incumbent Mayor David Toombs due to allegations of bribery; Pyle quickly ran for election as sheriff instead!!!!! Prior to this event however much political activity took place around town involving such luminaries as County commissioners Lewis Cass(6th Ward) & Isaac Morse(7th Ward)), Sheriff John Pyle (& District Attorney George Jorgensen)(8th Ward)), Banker Elijah Howe(9th Ward)), Judges Timothy Ladd(10th ward)), Peter Hickey(11th ward)) & Augustus Kelley(12th ward)). All branches represented except Banker Elijah Howe closed up shop circa 1915.) In fact so much activity took place around town that one historian even suggests “the most important event during [Sturgis'] early history may have been] county government reorganization…in 1861”!!! Finally effective law enforcement services arrived courtesy of Captain Jorgensen when he was elected District Attorney about 1895!) Throughout its long existence various fires have burned throughout downtown - usually starting late at night or early morning while people were sleeping – but no one ever died as a result !! One fire did destruction however on November 15 scorching everything within 500 feet!! From 1896 until 1906 an alarm clock constantly sounded from an old oil drum located just south east along Park Ave leading up Broadway which stopped short every 10 seconds or so making it difficult for people inside not know when it was safe to come out !! When this happened somebody decided to take advantage and set fire to Drummond House which destroyed most if not all occupants inside!!!! What made this particular fire unique however was that not only did everyone lose their lives inside but also all valuable contents belonging thereto!! Thereafter Drumsontown became extinct permanently leaving us without our once thriving pioneer community!!!!

At that time, most Americans only knew about and used handguns. In 1949, the Gun Owners’ Action League (GOAL) started printing T-shirts depicting various NRA slogans including “Gun Owner since 1938”. The early days of shirt printing were difficult as printers had to find high quality fabric that could resist fading or wrinkles. However, GOAL soon became one of the biggest supporters of handgun freedom in America and printed many shirts protesting gun control laws. In 1966, GOAL merged with NRA to form the National Rifle Association (NRA). This merger allowed NRA to print more t-shirts promoting their political beliefs which helped contribute to their support for Second Amendment rights throughout America. Today, there are numerous firearm manufacturers who produce T-shirts featuring their products or celebrating specific events or moments within firearms history. Some examples include The shoots at Sandy Hook Elementary School in December 2014 where several firearms manufacturer shirts were worn on display in solidarity with victims and survivors; patches from each state represented on an NRA shirt worn during the 2016 US Presidential Election; and Texas A&M’s rifle team wearing commemorative shirts during the Aggies vs Alabama game last season!
