Southfield is a city in the U.S. state of Michigan and the county seat of Oakland County. The population was 64,914 as of the 2010 census, making it the largest city in Oakland County by population. It is also one of the most ethnically diverse cities in Michigan, with a wide variety of cultures represented from all over the world. The first mention of rifle scopes in Southfield was in 1875 when Prentice Mulford built an early model rifle scope on his home lot near what is now Third Avenue and Cherry Street. In 1892, Johnnie Shields began selling rifles and shotguns at his old grocery store on Woodward Avenue. The first factory-produced rifle Scope was made by Blanchard & Company (now part of Bushnell) in 1903 for Remington Arms Corporation under license from Johnnie Shields’ business partner, Harry Heston (the founder and CEO of Heston Firearms). By 1907, American Rifle had become its own company specializing in producing rifle scopes under license from European manufacturers such as Schmidt & Bender and Zeiss America Incorporated. In 1902–3, Mr. Briggs installed a newtype oil-fired electric range at his home on Elmwood Avenue to produce electricity for lighting purposes for local businesses which he then used to power his riflescope production facility. In 1916–17 he erected a large two story frame building south side of Main Street east facing Elmwood Ave., became known as Briggs Scopes Manufacturing Co., Inc., produced riflescopes until 1918 when that plant closed due to World War I hostilities; later reopened as Wurlitzer Corp.-owned Briggs Scopes Manufacturing Co.,Inc.. On July 15th 1978 Mrs Jane Ladd bought land adjacent to Briggs Scopes Manufacturing Co., Inc./Wurlitzer Corp.'s current manufacturing plant site at 2235 West State Street from Wurlitzer Corp.-led consortium consisting of Mrs Jane Ladd (Manager), her husband Don Ladd (President/CEO), their son Rick Ladd (Vice President/CFO), their daughter Lori Atherton (President/CTO), their brother-in-law Dick VanderMeer (Director/Chief Operating Officer) with assistance from numerous other individuals - including our own engineering team - resulting in today's name: "Briggs Scopes Industries".

SETTING UP A RIFLE SCOPE There are several steps involved in setting up your rifle scope: choosing your object (or targets), finding your mounting bracket/installation location (if desired), attaching eye cups/legs/bolsters etc., adjusting zeroing devices if needed and finally putting it into use! Before beginning these steps make sure that you have everything you need according to the manufacturer’s instructions: Rifle mountings vary depending on how the telescope is set up but they typically consist of two threaded members that fit onto either side of the barrel(s). These mounts typically feature adjustable elevation (+/- 3 degrees) and azimuth (-5/+15 degrees) adjustment knobs allowing you fine tune both optics performance and shot placement. The most important step during installation is ensuring that both eyeshields are plugged into their respective ports on the camera body - without them working properly, poor image quality will result! Once everything is settled down, apply pressure against one end of each tube until installation begins to ensure even contact between tubes - this should take about 10 seconds per side! Southfield is a city in Metro Detroit, Michigan, United States. The population was 362 at the 2010 census. It is the home of Southfield Township and Southfield Community Schools. The area now known as Southfield was laid out by General John Graves Simcoe in 1801 when he purchased land from the Potawatomi people. The first permanent settler, Isaac Chouteau, arrived in 1824 and began to farm what would become the city of Southfield. In 1827, David Marshall founded Detroit's first school, Gratiot Academy. The city of Southfield was incorporated on July 10, 1828 and named for Simon De Witt "a native of Canada" who had served as a brigadier general in the War of 1812 and then as collector of taxes for Wayne County. In 1830, construction began on Gratiot Avenue which became one ofDetroit's most important thoroughfares. In 1840, Jackson Ward moved into what is now Downtown Detroit and built an extensive residential district around Woodward Avenue which became known as Jackson Heights or Oldtown Detroit; this district still exists today as part of Midtown Detroit. By 1850 much of downtown had been destroyed by fire butrification proceeded apace with new blocks being built near Woodward Avenue between Hudson Street and Clark Street (now Grand Boulevard). The old town business districts were gradually replaced by newer areas throughout the 19th century until there were only a few pockets of older buildings left in central downtown after streetcarsHermans RoadMerrick RoadPurple People Bridge across Gratiot Ave., between Queenston Rd./Stroudsford Rd./Wabash Blvd./Lincoln Rd/Edmonton St./Vernon St., collapsed during an ice storm on December 15-16th 1897 causing extensive damage to both buildings & residences within blocks radius & loss to property values estimated at $500MUSD ($ more than $ 25B over time) [1] One remaining example is State Armory building located inside current City Hall complex

Southfield is one of the "Big Three" cities in Midwestern United States that form the core of the Grand Rapids–Wyoming Metropolitan Area Combined Statistical Area (CSA). It lies on both banks of Lake Huron, about 12 miles west of downtown Detroit and about 15 miles east of Grand Rapids. The first permanent settlers in what would become Southfield were French traders who established a trading post on an island in what is now Little Holland Harbor in 1796. The town was named for Sir John Steedman, 2nd Baronet (1763-1828), who had donated land to establish it as a township in 1814. The township was organized into a village on July 1, 1824, when it became part of Arenac Township. On June 15, 1850, Arenac Township was divided into two sections – Central Section which included Southfield and East Side which included Brush Park – and Southfield was transferred to Central Section. The Village had three stores and 60 residents when it merged with Brush Park on January 1, 1957 to form Blakely Township which then became Southfield on November 3 that year by merger with Dearborn Heights Township also from Arenac Township District 5 North division No 2 effective date November 3 without village vote or referendum participation although all three villages were represented by three trustees each until 1959 when Village status went extinct due to lack of voter turnout In 1963 SouthFIELD lost its charter as City due to mergers with other townships including Dearborn Heights In 1966 Southend Drive replaced Dearborn Heights Boulevard as main arterial through town center while Main Street remains original name for Center Street running east-west through town center renamed Haven Road following fire destruction caused by early 1970s recession

Southfield was founded in 1837 as a small village on the south side of what is now Woodward Avenue and became an incorporated town in 1881. In 1914 it merged with neighbouring Sterling Heights to form the current city. The name "Southfield" originally referred to the area north of Woodward Avenue between Park Boulevard and Gratiot Avenue - today's Southfield Township - while "Sterling Heights" referred to the area east of Woodward Avenue between Gratiot Avenue and Cass Street (now Northwood Road).
