A few remaining businesses have been revived over time through partnerships with private companies or other local businesses: a small grocery store on West Main Street reopened after being closed for several years due to bankruptcy; two large convenience stores remain open along Uptown Avenue; and one restaurant remains open on North Third Street after more than 40 years as a pizzeria specializing in Italian cuisine reopened following unsuccessful attempts at other business ventures. South Lyon's demographics have slowly begun to change since 2000 when almost all males (99%) gave up their jobs within five years due to retirements or changes within their company/industry replaced by new technologies or international competition; however females are still less likely than men to leave their positions without achieving some form of promotion ( ). Population growth has primarily come from immigrants who arrived during recent waves ofimes characterized as "high-skill" workers ( Foreign born MEN ; working age citizens ages 25-64) . These newcomers often bring with them skills that would not be prevalent among natives (such as musical ability) so that many rural communities now have dense concentrations of high-skilledforeignborn residents – making it difficult for native children growing up elsewhere within those communities to attend public schools

General Butler is widely credited with helping contribute toSouthLyon's postwar resurgence as an important industrial center within the state of Michigan. After World War II ended, South Lyon began experiencing significant declines which led to its eventual abandonment by developers in the late 1960s and 1970s; however, recent redevelopment has resurrected much of what once flourished within this historic town - providing visitors with a glimpse into one of Michigan's most interesting communities from an earlier time period!

The population of South Lyon grew rapidly from its early years, and by 1870 it had reached over 575 people. A new courthouse and jail were built in the early 1880s, and a city hall was erected in 1907.South Lyon's fortunes waxed and waned throughout its history; during World War II it served as an air base for the United States military. However, since then the town has slowly regained some of its former prosperity.
