The complex would eventually include three venues: an open-air basketball court nicknamed “The Ghetto” (now known as Joe Louis Arena),a football stadium with seating for over 100,000 people called “The Dome” (now known as Hyatt Regency Detroit),and an ice rink that could seat over 16 thousand people called “The Ice House” (now known as Little America Center).
