It was during this time that Winchester Repeating Arms Company began producing its own firearms (the first being an AR-15) under license from other companies such as Remington & Stevens Corporation. Winchester Repeating Arms Company's years of success led them to purchase other companies throughout their empire; however, it was their acquisition of Browning handgun manufacturer that yielded the most significant changes within the rifle stock industry over the years. Browning handguns became one of Winchester Repeating Arms Company's core products and helped contribute greatly to their success during these later years. In 1976, WinchesterRepeatingArmsCompany merged with Browning Firearms Corporation; at this point both companies were headquartered in Springfield Armory adjacent to each other on Plymouth Road in Hartford Township near Detroit Lakes Mall). This move signaled a new era for both companies as they transitioned from a producer of Rifle Stocks only into a fully integrated firearms factory across multiple divisions catering to various markets worldwide (Browning now produces pistols only). New buildings were erected throughout the late 1800s including one called "The Tower" which still stands today as an example of Victorian architecture. After emancipation slavery ended in America following Reconstruction, many African Americans migrated to Detroit to work on Pullman cars or other white-owned businesses while their families stayed behind to keep their homes and businesses blacked out from public view. During World War I Ports huronian workers helped build military bases all around North America including Camp Sherman near Cleveland Ohio and Point Defiance Naval Station at San Francisco California; these jobs kept locals employed during wartime while local resources were diverted elsewhere for war efforts. After hostilities ceased Ports huronian workers returned home but some continued working long hours building projects such as new bridges or roads while others took time off to raise families or return to their previous professions once peace came back into town Afterward much stability ensued as businesses reorganized themselves within newly formed companies such as Mackinac Bridge Company Limited & Associated Contractors Limited before becoming defunct around 1970 due largely to technological advances that made menial tasks easier than ever before
