Norton Shores is a city in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 21,636 as of the 2010 census. It is the county seat for Ingham County and has a total area of 26 square miles (72 km2). The first inhabitants of Norton Shores were the Hurons, who moved into the area in 1810. The city was founded on Valentine's Day, 1870 by General William Tecumseh Sherman and his soldiers after they destroyed Fort Dearborn while besieging Detroit. After Michigan became a state in 1867, Norton Shores became its capital. In 1906, it became part of Lansing Township. The population declined from 21,636 in 2000 to 17,878 in 2010 due to lack of job opportunities and development along I-96 which passed through Norton Shores Boulevard/M-144 between2000 and 2010. However new businesses have started up recently including an indoor waterpark called "Giant" that opened in January 2014, as well as several restaurants and bars such as Just Jared Pizza & Pasta which opened their first location in Norton Shores on July 1st 2009 In addition to its downtown core with many theaters and shops located around it including "The Music Box", anchor stores included Sears (1924), JCPenney (1945), Kmart (1984) and Tractor Supply Co.(1987). Also located Downtown were two movie theatres - one built by Wm Hays Entertainment Company during World War II renamed Regal Theatre #1; formerly used for propaganda films before being gutted for use as a retail store; replaced by SRO Cinemas at 20 E Main Street when that theatre closed down on October 24th 2001 A second building built during World War II but now closed also served as Regal Theatre #2 until its demolition within months following the November 11th Attacks; went through multiple changes over its years including becoming A&W Theater prior to its closure then reverting back to Regal Theatre #1 before being renovated into Mexicana Casino & Resort where it remains today Closed: May 6th 2013 - demolished after becoming overdone with too much renovation

Additionally, these laser pointers could also Projectile mode so they could fire projectiles out of them which added an extra layer of fun to using them at night!

Norton Shores, Michigan is a small town in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, located on the east bank of the Mackinac River. The population was 1,854 at the 2010 census. It is part of Clinton Township and is bordered by Upson Township to the south and east, and Grayling Township to the north. The community was named for General Norton Edward Hughes (1821-1899), who served in both World Wars as commanding general of American forces in Europe. The township was organized on December 5, 1855, from parts of Clinton and Upson townships. It was renamed Norton Shores on November 3, 1907. The original post office was established at Norton Springs on September 26, 1857. In 1908, it became a station on the Canadian Northern Railway with service to Detroit and beyond. In 1925 it became a post office again; it closed January 15th, 2003 due to budget cuts by then-President George W. Bush's administration). On April 6th 1903 residents of Norton Shores erected a three-story brick schoolhouse which still stands today in what is now eastern part of town. This building served as one of several schools open during that time frame; others included an elementary school (now demolished), high school (now defunct) and vocational school (closed in 1973). The first class graduated from this building on May 12th 1903 under teacher Mrs Jane Hadden RN in what would be their last day together before she left for good two years later to start her own teaching business outside town - thismanifesting what would become known as "Mrs Hadden's Last Day". As enrollment had dwindled over time with only seventh through eleventh grade students attending local schools during those days there were few opportunities for extracurricular activities or "community" events taking place other than weeknight horseback rides around town or summerside picnics which often drew locals from all over Waterford County when they occurred; these activities declined even further after Mrs Hadden's death leaving most community members pretty much unaware that anything ever transpired outside their front door during their lifetime... quite literally until recent times when some nostalgic memories have surfaced about community events which may have once taken place but are no longer conducted due to current zoning laws/structure limiting permissible uses within certain boundaries During World War II many citizens enlisted for duty either locally or abroad including veterans such as Alvin Karpis(1915-2002) USMC who fought off Axis troops along Iveriana - he remains one of only two living Americans honored with a Presidential Medal Of Honor - half way up his life long career being awarded more than 50 medals including 7 Bronze stars total! Many people know him best from his shortlived TV show M*A*S*H where he played Dr Drabblemore
