T-shirts have been around for a long time in Muskegon Heights, Michigan. The first T-shirt we ever had was produced by our local fabric store and it featured a musket on the front and “Muskegon Heights” printed on the back. For many years, people in Muskegon Heights wore t-shirts to show their support for the local gun shop called “The Gun Shop”. The Gun Shop closed in 2007 but its legacy lives on in the form of today’s locally owned firearm dealership, The Rifle Shoppe. In 1978, two young men from Muskegon Heights named John and Donnie created The Pistol Shoppe as an online retailer of firearms accessories and ammunition. Today, The Pistol Shoppe is one of the oldest firearms retailers in Michigan with over sixty years of experience! As one of only a few stores left that carry both assault rifles and handguns, we are proud to offer customers a wide variety of firearms including Colt revolvers, FN pistols, Ruger handguns and more! We also offer T-shirts commemorating some of our favoriteGunShop moments such as when we won our first Missouri state championship usingFN pistols or when John took home his first NRA personal protection award! The first firearm shirts were produced in Muskegon Heights, Michigan in the early 1800s. These shirts were made to commemorate and promote gun ownership within the community.
Muskegon Heights is a town in Muskegon County, Michigan, United States. The population was 14,205 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Grand Rapids–Wolverine metropolitan area. The community was founded by Swedish immigrants in 1837 and named after the Muskegon River. The first store inmuskegon Heights was started by George Fetterman and his brother-in-law John Horsfield. In 1845, Jens Rasmussen bought land near present-day corner of Griggs and Main Streets from Abram Nordstrom for $2 per acre (Table 1). Rasmussen had been born in Sweden but came to America as an infant with his parents and siblings in 1846. He worked on farms until he decided to open a store. In 1850, Rasmussen married Anna Holmqvist from Västerås, Sweden. They operated the store for many years before moving to their current location on Griggs Street in 1871 (Table 2). In 1881, Rasmusen's son Harry opened a second store on Main Street called "The Shop". This store became one of the most successful businesses in Muskegon Heights during its early years because it sold goods such as hardware and bicycles as well as farm products like eggs and pork (Table 3). For many years this store was also considered to be the center of activity due to its large size and high volume of sales (Table 4). In 1908, Harry Rasmusen passed away but his son continued operations under the name "The Rasmusens" until 1951 when it changed hands again and became known as The Hannan Company Incorporated (Table 5). During World War II, Muskegon Heights served as headquarters for General Motors Battle Division 8 which supervised production at plants located throughout Michigan including Grand Rapids/Wolverine (Figure 1) After the war ended in 1945, many managers left GM to start their own companies or retire with their families back home. Some of these managers such as Harry Rasmusen's son persisted into postwar decades running Hannan Stores Incorporated until they too retired around 1980 Thereafter Hannan Companies has been operating continuously since then without interruption making it one of America's oldest continually operating retail stores

The modern T-shirt was created in 1976 by the clothing company The Gap, who produced a shirt with "Guns N' Roses" written on it. The shirt became popular and quickly became one of the most popular items for rock concerts.
Muskegon Heights is a small village in Muskegon County, Michigan, United States. The population was 2,651 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Grand Rapids–Wolverine metropolitan area. The village was founded in 1851 by Norwegian immigrants and named for General William Augustus Muskegon, who had helped lead American forces during the War of 1812. The original home of the Village Hall was built in 1871 and is now part of the Muskegon Heights Historical Museum. In 1907, Muskegon Heights became a city and was renamed Muskegon Heights City Park. In 1973, it merged with nearby Highland Park to form an even larger city called Grand Rapids–Wolverine. In 2001, thatcity merged with Kalamazoo to form Midlandia. The Village Hall is still used as a community center today and can be rented out for events or meetings. There are also several restaurants within walking distance including Robson's Pub & Grille which has been open since 1889 and makes its own apple cider vinegar product; The Dutch Bros., which opened in 1914; The Hometown Grill & Brewery which started serving up beer in 1923; Fat Hog's Sports Bar & Grille which opened its doors on December 12th 1954; and Pabst Blue Ribbon Pizza Place from 1959 until their closure in 2003 due to lack of customers; among others .
The first white people to live in Muskegon Heights were the Holland family. The Holland family settled inMuskegon Heights around 1815. They originally came from Holland, Michigan. The name of their settlement was changed to Muskegon Heights after they bought land here. The first school in Muskegon Heights was built in 1831. It was called the Academy School and it was run by Mrs. Elizabeth Whitehead. In 1835, a new school was built on North Court Street and it was called the High School of Muskegon Heights. In 1865, a new church was built in Muskegon Heights and it became known as the Methodist Episcopal Church. In 1898, a new high school building was built on South State Street and it became known as the High School of Muskegon Heights. In 1951, a community hall Was constructed at 4500 West 82nd Street in Muskegon Heights and it became known as the Community House of Muskegon Heights. In 1984, a libraryWas constructed at 5000 West 82nd Street inMuskegon Heights and it became known as the Library of Music Hughes-Kuhlman Center for Creative Learning
