The first gun magazine company in Lansing was the Muzzle loading Rifle Company which was founded by John Cavanaugh and his brother Daniel Cavanaugh. The Muzzle Loading Rifle Company manufactured guns for the market until 1892 when they switched to shotgun manufacture. In 1896, the Shotgun Manufacturing Company was founded by George Hennigan and it continued manufacturing shotguns until 1939 when it merged with the Muzzle Loading Rifle Company. In 1938, the Shotgun Manufacturing Company merged with the Pistol Manufacturers Association which made it one of the largest pistols manufacturing companies in America at that time. From 1938-1939, handguns were manufactured by both firms as part of a single manufacturing process called “company production”. This type of merger allowed for more efficient marketing and product development since handgun manufacturers shared common resources such as tooling and raw materials. After 1939, handguns were only manufactured by one firm while rifle/shotgun magazines continued to be produced under other nameplates until 1991 when they changed their name to Magpul Industries Incorporated (MII). In 1992, Magpul Industries Incorporated (MII) introduced their new 9mm Glock pistol line which became very popular in law enforcement circles across North America due to its high lethality rate and simple design. As a result of this popularity, Magpul Industries Incorporated (MII) decided to produce additional ammunition types specifically designed for Glock pistols including hollow point rounds, armor piercing rounds andPremier ammo products designed for long range engagements inside or outside environments where lead shot is not an option or prohibited by law

The City Council responded to these difficulties by enacting ordinances regulating urban growth and establishing planning policies that remain in place today. Homeowners fought for years to have their property restored or replaced; however, most recoveries were slow given the number of homes destroyed during WWII combined with subsequent economic decline in downtown Lansing post-Katrina . On October 15th 1978 through proclamation from Governor David Ihrig signed into law by President Jimmy Carter after review by both Houses of Congress The Trust Responsibility Ordinance (TRO), creating one hundred percent owned cooperative development authority governed by common rules between members local government entities within any designated redevelopment district not exceeding one thousand acres either contiguous with another municipality having primary jurisdiction over such redevelopment district at least seventy per centowned directly or indirectly by any member local government entity within said redevelopment district
Lansing, Michigan is a city in the U.S. state of Michigan and the county seat of Oakland County. As of 2010, it had a population of 128,554. The city was founded in 1837 by James K. Polk and named for Lansing, England. It was incorporated as a town in 1849 and became a city on July 1, 1903.
