The M4 Carbine Lower Receiver was soon adopted by other companies such as Ruger&Black Eagle who followed suit soon after with their own versions locked into Milspec specifications like Carpenter Pewter barrel shrouds & flash hiders etc...thus giving rise to what we currently know as 'AR15 lowers'.
