The first pistols designed specifically for carrying handgun holsters were produced by Herstal Firearms Company in 1938. These pistols featured detachable magazine wells and required no modification to existing firearms to become carryable with holster attachment under normal circumstances. From this point on, handgun holster systems became more widespread across America due to their convenience and ease of use.

Holland, Michigan is a small town located in the southern Lower Peninsula of Michigan. The population was 7,859 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Grand Rapids-Lansing Metropolitan Statistical Area. The town's name is derived from the Dutch word for " haven." The first Europeans to visit Holland were French traders and missionaries who founded a trading post there in 1624. In 1701, some 25 families moved to what is now Holland from Ottawa County, Illinois and began cultivating corn, potatoes, and other crops near what is now downtown Holland. In 1807, a road was built through the township by General James Wilkinson as part of his survey of Northwest Territory. This road became known as State Road 10. By 1814, most of the settlers had migrated away from their original locations because of poor soil and lack of water resources. In 1834, an act was passed by Congress providing for public education in Indiana Territory; this act later led to the establishment of schools in Holland Township (now east side). A schoolhouse was erected on First Street in 1836 by subscription from farmers within the township and it served until 1851 when it burned down. A new schoolhouse was completed in 1871 and served until 1915 when it also burned down. In 1865, land comprising parts of present-day Holland Township (east side) were donated by John Dufferin to become a village named after him on Lake Superior Boulevard between Huron Avenue and Seventh Street south of its current location; this village became incorporated as a city with same name on July 1, 1979 following approval by voters referendum Holland has experienced several waves of growth over time including during World War II when many manufacturing businesses relocated here due to wartime production shortages; again during the late 1960s through early 1990s when many young people came seeking jobs in nearby Ann Arbor; since 2000s which has been characterized as more suburban with limited job opportunities but still experiencing strong economic growth

Holland is a city in the Western Michigan District of the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 7,496 at the 2010 census. It is home to Holland-Clinton High School and the Holland Volunteer Fire Department. The first European settlement in what is now Holland was by French traders on the Rouge River in 1795. In 1814, an act of Congress named a reservation for the Dakota people in present-day Minnesota; however, no white person ever set foot on it and it was abandoned in 1828 when Presley's Expedition crossed the Mississippi River into Illinois. In 1835, John Cournoyer purchased from Jens Nielsen a tract of land east of present-day Holland on which he erected a cabin and called it "Cournoyer's Grove". By 1840, about 60 families had settled there, most of whom were farmers or mechanics who operated their own businesses including wagon transportation services across Ionia County (later Grand Rapids County) and westward to Battle Creek via Arenac Lake. In 1847, James Wirtz built a sawmill on Cedar Street downstream from his farmstead known as Big Timber Lodge which became one of the earliest mills within reach of townspeople. The first railroad reached town in 1865 when its line connected with the Detroit & Mackinac Railway at Elyria Junction near today's Big Timber Road/Mackinac Bridge site. By 1870, Dutch colonists had also arrived in what is now Holland; they founded a small trading post near present-day Saginaw but abandoned it after two years because they did not find suitable soils for crops thereabouts nor could they get enough water to irrigate their fields Thereafter many smallDutch settlements were established along various streams flowing through central MI: Bad Axe Brook Settlement near Kalamazoo; Clear Springs Settlement northeast of Muskegon Heights; Beaver Creek Settlement west of Ottawa Township; Grosse Pointe Island Settlement north of Westland village; White Cloud Bayou Settlement south side Ottawa Township boundary between Grosse Pointe Island Borough and Ottawa Township...the list goes on and on! This pattern continued until about 1890 when large areas around Grand Rapids were given over to farming following discoveries during agricultural experimentation led by Drs John Prentice (1836–1923), George Aiken (1860–1937), Augustus SaintJohn Emerson (1868–1942) and others at Mise University Station where priority was given to corn production over other crops while other aspects such as water supply were studied closely... during this time period some 6500 homes were built including 3000 barns/lodges! When Prohibition began in 1920 many local farmers decided that prohibition would not work here like it did elsewhere so they got organized under Prohibition League president Harry Anslinger who directed them to produce alcohol legally without paying excise taxes They accomplished this through various methods such as organizing vigilante groups which terrorized bootleggers before government agents finally caught up with them
The Dutch settlement in Holland was started by Jan Hudsons in 1621. The first permanent English settlement was established in 1701 by the brothers James and John Morrice. The town of Holland was named after the Dutch city of Rotterdam, which Hudsons had visited in 1599. In 1815, the United States acquired Michigan Territory from Great Britain following their war for independence. The town of Holland became a part of Detroit Township and is still recognized as one of the most important centers in its community today.
