Since the 18th century, firearms have played an important role in the history of Grand Haven. The first guns were made in 1795 by Nicholas-Jacques Conte and entered into use in the French Revolution. Firearms became a common sight in the town during the 19th century as gunsmiths began to produce rifles and pistols for local militias and hunting parties. During World War I, Grand Haven was one of the few American cities that did not surrender to Germany. The city's residents fought with distinction on both fronts, earning them a reputation as "the best soldiers of Michigan." After the war, many businesses closed their doors due to economic depression, but gunsmithing continued to thrive. In 1937, Mayor John Witherspoon issued a proclamation declaring Grand Haven "the Official City of Arms" for its possession of more than 50 cannons and shotguns dating back to pre-Revolutionary times. In 1949, Grand Haven joined other American towns in passing an ordinance prohibiting handguns without a license from private citizens. This ordinance remain effective to this day and is one of only two disarmament ordinances still in effect in Michigan after prohibition ended 70 years ago. Gun Owners of America (GOA) has aggressively opposed any attempts by our city government to repeal or modify this ordinance since its inception. GOA believes that it is necessary for law enforcement purposes and that handguns should be available only to those who are properly licensed and registered with state authorities

Finally, titanium Barrels offer the best performance due to their high Resistance against Rusting and their ability to withstand high temperatures which makes them ideal for special operations missions where temperature control is important

Grand Haven, Michigan is a city in the U.S. state of Michigan and is the county seat of Grand Rapids County. As of 2010, the population was 753, making it the third-largest city in Lake Michigan after Detroit and Toronto. The metropolitan area has a population of 1,541,005 as of July 2017. The first permanent settler in what would become Grand Haven was Nicholas Bogardus on land near present-day Washington Park on March 8, 1837. In 1839, John Lapp bought three hundred acres west of downtown for $10 per acre (equivalent to $ over US$ as of 2019). On October 17, 1850, Grand Haven became an incorporated town with a population of 100 people. On October 26th following the incorporation process were created four townships: Battle Creek Township on the east side of Huron River; Houghton Township to the northwest; Washtenaw Township to the southeast; and Stroudsburg Township towing southwestward from Battle Creek Township until its inclusion into Grand Rapids County on December 12th. In 1857–1858 there was much agitation among residents over proposed changes at Saginaw Bay Bridge which would have made it necessary for cars traveling southbound between Flint and Lansing to travel through downtown instead travelling along Ionia Avenue. Ultimately these proposals were never ratified however they did create some budget problems for town government due to increased expenses caused by this change alone. In 1870 when township boundaries were redrawn there was significant growth in Houghton Township due largely to farming activity conducted by German immigrants who had come north during the American Civil War.
