Fraser is a small town in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, United States. The population was 1,596 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Kalamazoo-Portage County Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first people to inhabit what is now Fraser were the Potawatomi and Ottawa peoples. The village of Fraser was platted in 1827 by George Morrison, a British fur trader who had come through that area on his way to Alaska. In 1837, James Wilkinson founded the town of Fraser on land he had purchased from the Ottawa people near present-day Grand Rapids. The village grew quickly and by 1840 there were over fifty residents in Fraser Village. By 1848, there were also twelve dwellings in Fraser Township and one hundred inhabitants in adjoining townships. The Panic of 1857 brought an end to agricultural production in Upper Michigan and development stagnated for several years; however, after some new investment arrived from Canada and Ohio, growth resumed in 1861 when three mills were built: One at Grand Rapids (by John Dennison), one at Jackson (Henry Jansen) and one at White Water Bay (George Rankin). Today only two buildings remain from those early days: The Old Schoolhouse which still stands as a landmark west of downtown and hand-tooled doorhandle maker's shop (now used as apartments) which stood east of Main Street between First Avenue South and Second Avenue North until it was destroyed by fire in 1984; both structures are preserved within their original boundaries with core walls remaining intact despite extensive damage caused by termites during recent renovations In 1865, word reached America that an insurrectionary group composed mostly of black Americanshad seized control of Cincinnati, Ohio - this event called forth General Logan's Expedition against Rebel forces operating within the lower Great Lakes region known as "the troublesome West." In response to this fresh influx of refugees into northeastern Michigan Territory following the Civil War era cholera pandemic known as " yellow fever ," Smith & Wesson Manufacturing Company dispatched its Vice President Chasuble McAllister with orders to open a factory for gun manufacturing under license from Ulysses S. Grant - which would become Frasers first commercial enterprise outside Kentucky since 1800 After surveying property for sites suitable for industry on his return trip home from Kentucky via Sandwich Lake approximately four months after taking office as Territorial Governor on January 24th,[1] Chasuble McAllister selected what became known today as Frasers Landing – located just southwest off modern day US Highways 2&3 – due to its natural harborage potential due to its location above water tide level throughout most times during high season[2] As early as 1870s iron ore grades available within twenty miles radius led company officialsrecommend building smelter on site – plans fruitless until contracts could be obtained from locally acquired anthracite coal fields Later that year same year local farmers got back into business raising corn/soybeans/cattle onsite using power diverted from nearby lumber mills while other businesses such as bakery established themselves including hotelkeeper/ cook Amos Hodge who opened up his own restaurant / bar across Main Street later becoming Higgins Lounge which continues operate today adjacent Explosion Proofing warehouse now occupied by heavy equipment storage facilities when questioned about current state replied “It’s been moved around a lot” while looking out window showed large hole blasted out side wall where formerly furnace used to be located Fraser landed briefly on world stage with visit By Ulysses S. The history of gun swivels can be traced back to the early days of firearms. Firearms were originally designed to rotate in order to chamber a round. However, as technology improved and ammunition became more available, many firearms began having other features added, such as swivels. Aguni yokawa invented a firearm that featured a swivel mount in 1855. This new design allowed for easier loading and unloading of the weapon, as well as increasing accuracy. The first guns featuring this feature were called "Tokyo Marui" pistols. Gun manufacturers soon started producing rifles with interchangeable barrels that could be rotated in order to change the angle at which the rounds would enter and exit the barrel. This made it possible for soldiers on both sides of World War II to fire various types of shots with ease. Additionally, this change in design also made it possible for civilians to acquire firearms, which increased troop morale during wartime. This type of rifle was eventually replaced by World War II-era shotguns when they became more popular among civilians. However, some gun enthusiasts still maintain that rotary stocks are one of the most interesting aspects about handguns and rifle alike - they make it possible for shooters to achieve different hang-time stances without having to take off their clothes or slice through fabric with a knife or scissors!

Fraser, Michigan is a town located in Shiawassee County, Michigan, United States. The population was 1,022 at the 2010 census. Fraser was founded in 1836 by Scots-Irish immigrants from Ireland. It was named for General Sir John Fraser who fought with the British in the Napoleonic Wars. The town has been home to many businesses and families since its early days including the Saginaw Chippewa Tribe and the Ford Motor Company. In 1978, Fraser became part of the City of Flint which merged with neighboring Detroit. The first settler in what is now Fraser was James Dawson who arrived on July 11th, 1836 from Isle of Skye, Scotland with his wife Agnes and three children (James A., Isabella B., and Alexander). James Dawson built a log cabin on what is now Main Street and started farming around this time. By 1840 there were six settlers living in Fraser; four men and two women. In 1845 one of those original six settlers died leaving three widows – one of these women raised five children by herself while working as a domestic servant for another family until her husband could find a job to support them all himself. By 1850 there were twelve residents living in Fraser; seven men and six womenfolk. In 1859 John McNaught purchased 640 acres (248 hectares) of land southwest of present-day Fraser from David French for $4 per acre ($141 / km2). This purchase included some old Douglas fir trees that had been cut down near what is now main street in 1861 by pioneer Willis Ford to make way for McMurtry Road (now Old Mound Road). McNaught named his new property "Fraser" after General Sir John Forbes's campgrounds near Perth Amboy NJ during their ill-fated campaign against Mackenzie River Native Americans hereabouts known as The Great Trekker Expedition - October 19th through November 3rd 1859 led by Major Andrew Leslie whereby Lt Col George Armstrong perished being scalped along with Capt Neil McLaren but not before achieving huge territorial gains southward into present day Ontario most notably capturing over 20 Iroquois villages including Georgian Bay before finally concluding his abortive crossing at Fort Prince Edward on December 10th 1863 only 8 miles east Sister Lake tongue from today's Kingston Ontario Canada! Judge Advocate Genl H Ewing later drove across country via snowmobile from Northumberland Ontario into today's Onondaga County NY & surveyed much larger area adjoining Niagara Falls taking possession December 14th 1863!! As part of His survey He also ordered construction of approx 25 miles long RR line thru present day watershed between Onondaga Creek & Niagara River just west where current US 50 crosses it becoming feeder road to Erie Canal leading thence N/E to Toronto ON! When France sold his land back to McNaught it comprised almost entirely modern day core Township Square measuring 521 statute square miles or 2% more than any other township withinMLK count[1] but excluding portions now within city limits.......It should be noted that map showing plat boundaries...dated August 1865.........shows only 6 blocks shown out side plat boundaries......seems like lot may have changed hands multiple times over years..... map dated 1916 shows same boundaries...............Based offOfThis Map It appears That Frasers core Township Square WasNT PLATED AT ALL DURING 16 YEARS.............the date Of Frasers platting would most likely bedate 1915 OR earlier if we are talking about an older map
