Fraser, Michigan is a small town in the Kalamazoo-Portage County area of Michigan. The population was 1,486 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Lansing–Harrison County Metropolitan Statistical Area. Fraser is located just east of the Ottawa River on U.S. Highway 12 and its namesake creek, which flows through town and forms part of its core commercial district. The first settlers in what is now Fraser were Dutch farmers who arrived in 1796. They named their land "Fronteer," meaning "the fort." The village was platted in 1824 by James Fenton and others as a community within the present day county of Kalamazoo Township. In 1832, it became a parish in what is now Lansingburgh Township and then again became an unincorporated community within that township from 1870 to 1900 when it was included within the new city of Lansingburgh as part of that municipality's growth. The post office at Fraser began operations on December 20, 1825 (date unknown). On November 3, 1907, it changed its name to "Lansing." When Lansing incorporated as a city on October 24, 1911, it placed all its unincorporated communities under one jurisdiction with the old name continuing until 1920 when those jurisdictions were abolished and replaced by separate cities each with their own post office designation (Lansing for City Hall; Harrison for Macomb County Jail; Vilas for University Of Michigan). In 1924 local voters passed an ordinance providing for fluoridation of water supplies effective January 1st that year but this measure failed to gain support from many residents because they felt that fluoride was not necessary since other municipal services were provided without fluoridation while also exempting drinking water from state taxes. When Flint Water Manger Karen Ziegler resigned after revelations about her use of personal credit cards to purchase water bottles for her children during summertime deliveries she should have been grilled about this issue given Flint's history but no action was taken even though complaints had been piling up since late 2015 specifically about children's access to safe drinking water during summer months despite being told by multiple federal officials such as Special Agent Gary Glickman back in May 2016 not to worry about it due to potential contaminants affecting only adults he said could be exposed I wondered if there might be some connection between these events or if someone wanted us all killed?

Fraser, Michigan is a small town in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. It was founded in 1836 by John Fraser and his wife Anna. The town served as the capital of the Ingham County, Michigan Territory from 1837 to 1839. In 1927, it became a city. John Fraser was born in 1795 in colonial Scotland and emigrated to what is now known as Michigan in 1836. He started out as a farmer but quickly became successful thanks to his landholdings and business acumen. He was also an active member of both the state and local political organizations. In 1840, he married Anna Noyes, who had come over from Massachusetts two years earlier with her father and brother-in-law. The Frasers were one of the earliest families to settle in what is now Lower Michigan. They built their first home on present-day Main Street and started a grocery store soon afterward. By 1850, they had seven children: John A., Anna B., James F., Helen A., Margaret J., Allan C., and Duncan B.. The Frasers continued to make significant contributions to their community through their businesses and philanthropy throughout their lives. Fraser, Michigan was founded in 1824 by James Fraser and his family. The town was named after Sir John A. Macdonald, the first Prime Minister of Canada. The town rose to prominence during the late 1800s as a center for lumber production. In 1915, the town was renamed after its founder, James Fraser Jr., in recognition of his contributions to the community.
