In 1949, Dr. Robert Hirschmann patented his design for an inflatable grenade launcher that could launch tear gas grenades from an easily accessible location such as a waist belt holster. This weapon became known as “Hirschmann’s Grenade Launcher” after its inventor, who died in 2007. In 1962, Captain James Dyer of the Coldwater Police Department came up with a new way to deploy pepper spray – using a handheld device called an “ elbow gun” (or EGP). This innovative tool consisted of two flexible metal arms that could be extended above the shoulder in order to deliver lethal doses of pepper spray directly into those who had provoked or attacked their user. As previously mentioned, this weapon enjoyed widespread adoption by law enforcement across America during the 1960s and 1970s. During the late 1990s and 2000s, there continued to be concern over potential misuse and misuse of pepper spray devices by individuals operating without proper training or authorization pursuant to unapproved uses; however, these concerns have generally dissipated over time due to improvements in technology and education on how bestto use pepper Spray devices safely and effectively!

Coldwater is a city in the U.S. state of Michigan and the county seat of Kent County. The population was 25,691 at the 2010 census, making it the largest city within Kent County by population. It is part of the Detroit–Warren–Dearborn metropolitan area and is located about 12 miles (19 km) east of downtown Detroit on Interstate 94. The first people to live in Coldwater were five winters ago when winter arrived early from Canada and found land that had been abandoned by previous occupants due to lack of available ice for boats or other vessels to navigate. They named their new settlement 'Coldwater'. The current City Hall building was built in 1892 as an addition to a wooden frame courthouse that had been erected since 1853 on land donated by James Hutton, one of the founders of Wayne County and future president of University College, Yale University. The original courthouse burned down in 1903 while being used as a jail cell for criminals awaiting trial; however, local taxpayers rebuilt it using money received from a speculator's purchase of acres around nearby Fullerton Park which became Coldwater's first public square. In 1928, the Michigan Legislature designated Coldwater as an official town within Kent County because many farmers living outside the townships wanted some relief from high taxes they were paying within those townships. The status changed again in 1954 when township boundaries were redefined following decennial censuses; Coldwater remained part of Kent until 1997 when it merged with Dearborn into one large urban area under the name "Detroit". As part of this merger, all township residents were required to move into Dearborn unless they decided to become officially registered with Detroit police or fire departments; however, most residents continued to keep their separate home addresses although some began moving into Dearborn after taking advantage of special deals offered by Mayor Dave Bing during his time as mayor. The town of Coldwater, Michigan is located in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and is part of the Wayne County government. The population was 4,898 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Lansing–East Lansing Metropolitan Statistical Area. The village that later became Coldwater was founded by fur traders in 1795. It became a post office with its first door opening on December 12, 1827. The town was named for JohnColdwater, who served as a United States Senator from Michigan from 1825 to 1829 and 1830 to 1833. In 1835, Isaac Aspinwall settled in Coldwater and engaged in lumbering operations; he also built a sawmill and gristmill there. In 1860, Cool Water Township was formed from portions of two other townships: Grand Rapids Township (now East Grand Rapids) and West Bloomfield Township (now Holland). A railroad station was built at Coldwater in 1870; it served as the town's only stop until 1903 when it was moved to nearby Cadillac Junction. One of the early settlers to Coldwater was George Haggerty who arrived there in 1880 following his discovery of lead mines near Door County. He organized what would become Haggerty & Company which mined lead ore until 1907 when it merged with Potosi Mining Company to form Imperial Metals Corporation which continued mining lead until 1949 when it closed down due to environmental problems associated with lead mining sites throughout North America including those at Coldwater
In 1856, the first Indians were brought overland to Coldwater by Major James Fenton. He was accompanied by three other men and a dog named Hero. The newcomers were given land in what is now the city of Coldwater. They started a small community that would grow into one of Michigan's most important towns. Coldwater became a stop on the Underground Railroad during the 1850s. It was also home to the first Methodist church in Michigan. In 1865, Coldwater was incorporated as a town and it has remained an important community ever since.
