The Clawson Firearms Company was established in 1892. The company manufactured shotguns, rifles, pistols and revolvers. In 1951, the Clawson Firearms Company merged with the Detroit-based Grosse Pointe Arms Corporation to form the current Grosse Pointe Arsenal firearms company. The Clawson Firearms Company production facilities remain active today and are used by several other firearms manufacturers including Smith & Wesson, Colt and Sig Sauer. Gun triggers are used to manipulate the firing of a gun. There are three basic types of trigger mechanisms: single-action, double-action, and recoil-activated. A gun trigger has two parts: the sear and the hammer. The sear is a metal or plastic piece that is inserted into the breechface of the gun and remains in place during reloading; it can be pulled back by pressure from the user's fingers or hand. The hammer carrier (the part that rides on top of the sear) moves up and down with the movement of the Sear, which cycles through all nine rounds in an automatic firearm. When everything is lined up correctly, this action results in a round being fired by displaced air from each round feeding into and firing from the barrel. The double-action Trigger mechanism uses both hands to pull down on one side of an octagon shaped grip frame which pivots about an axis that runs along its centerline. This causes fluid force to be transmitted through 290 Links webbing between hammer cocked (and moving forward), sear engagement with striker (actuated by either hand), spring tension tending to push striker back away from muzzle, and gas pressure pushing striker rearward into battery (a spring biased switch).

However, it reached its peak growth after World War II, when many people from nearby cities moved to Clawson to work at US military bases and other places. During the 1990s and 2000s, however, Clawson's population began to decline as a result of suburbanization and other factors. Clawson is one of six towns in Michigan that are home to Air National Guard Base M1A2 "Dakota" (the other five are Grand Rapids Township (Grand Rapids), Escanaba Township (Escanaba), Hollandale Township (Hollandale), Waterford Township (Waterford) and Winona). The base provides services such as missile defense systems and air traffic control for much of southeastern Michigan. It also houses various other government offices including law enforcement and public works

Clawson is a small town in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 1,858 at the 2010 census. Clawson is located on the eastern edge of the Upper Peninsula and is bordered by Superior to the north, Saginaw to the east, and Ironwood Township to the south. The first mention of Clawson dates back to 1824 when it was called "Crosse" after a warship that had been wrecked on shore thereabouts. It was renamed Clawson in 1851 for General David Crouse who fought in both American and Mexican Wars as well as being an Indian fighter. The town was incorporated in 1868 and a post office opened in 1870. In 1875, Clawson became headquarters for United States Senator John Sherman's district which included much of present-day Michigan. In 1865, Colonel Edmund Kirby Smith founded what would become known as Kirby-Smith Motors Company in Clawson with his brother James Waddell Smith sr., father and son Lewis Waddell Smith jun., among others including Edwin Moseley (1863-1937), manager of Detroit's largest dealership at that time; Harry Thayer (1865-1946), manufacturer of steel lamp posts; Hiram George Ames (1868-1945), cofounder with Cyrus McCormick & Co., one of America's leading food processors; James Hickey (1872-1941), president or JH Hickey Paper Mills Co.; John Nolen (1879-1964), treasurer or JN Nolen Paper Mills Inc.; Alfred Pribram & Sons Machine Shop; Enoch Pratt Chaney Hardware Store; Ayscough Nickel Mines & Copper Mines Co.; prominent local physician Dr Edward Cushing Chase (1861-1920); Dodge Brothers Shoes Corp.; Guglielmo Marconi Telephone Company et al.. In 1916, due to World War I shortages in munitions, clawson closed its mills while continuing production at its own foundry which still makes cannons today - one OF THE ORIGINAL CLAWSON MISSILES! In 1923, following Prohibition repeal across America, many businesses closed but clawton reopened with prohibition enforcement coming over from Canada instead... this led to some interesting business ventures such as selling bootleggers alcohol via stagecoaches! The post office served until 1957 when it merged into USPS service... during this time many interesting items were sent through mail from around North America thru USPS agents stationed here including things like gasoline cylinders filled with dynamite mailed from Oklahoma City... all sorts of strange/xenophobic material went through our lines! clawsonsonmi@hotmail
