In 1885, Waugh sold it to J.G Phelps & Sons, which became Phelps-Kerr Corporation in 1922. The company produced firearms including rifles and shotguns as well as pistols and revolvers. In 1984, Phelps-Kerr Corporation merged with Remington Arms Company to form Remington Rand Corporation.
Battle Creek is a city in the U.S. state of Michigan and the county seat of Kalamazoo County. The population was 97,314 as of the 2010 census. It is one of the most heavily populated cities in Michigan and has been called "the cultural capital of East Lansing." The first permanent settler in Battle Creek was Isaac Gruenwald, who arrived in 1795 with his family from Pennsylvania. In 1886, Battle Creek annexed neighboring townships (Harrison and Ottawa) to create what is today known as "the largest municipal annexation ever accomplished by any American municipality".[2] During World War II, much effort was made to make Castle Hill munitions production possible within Battle Creek; this included creating an airfield adjacent to town for use by bomber aircraft used for strategic bombing against Nazi Germany; erecting artificial snow covers over important industrial plants;[3]and providing other support services needed for war production such as transportation and housing.[4] However, castle hill never produced any significant quantities or value during World War II due largely to economic difficulties caused by wartime rationing.

Battle Creek, Michigan is a small town located in Muskegon County, Michigan, United States. The population was 5,912 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Muskegon County. Battle Creek is part of the Grand Rapids-Muskegon-Holland Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first permanent settlers in what is now Battle Creek were French Canadians who arrived in 1795 and named it after their homeland of Quebec City. They occupied tracts of land east of the current village site, and began to cultivate crops and built homes in 1805. In 1827, residents of nearby Holland organized a township to serve as an election precinct forMuskegon County. By 1840, commercial development had driven most of the original settlers out of Battle Creek; however, some new arrivals established themselves there until about 1870 when several mills opened up around town which supported a rapid CommercialDevelopment that increased manufacturing output and population by 100%. In 1860, during the American Civil War (1861-1865), battle creek was used as a supply depot for Union troops moving into central Michigan to participate in the 1863 Flint anti-slavery raid. On October 12th 1861, Confederate forces attacked Union forces at Fort Washburn near Battle Creek while supplies were being transported across state lines from Detroit to Fort Wayne via stagecoach route; this attack failed due to bad weather but resulted in seven casualties on both sides with no injuries reported by either side During World War II (1940-1945), Battle Creek served as an airfield for use by fighter planes between 1942 and 1945 primarily servicing area west of Grand Rapids including Mackinac Island within southern Muskegon County . A few buildings from this era still stand today: The Administration Building which housed almost all operational functions for Air Force Base Mackinac Island and also functioned as barracks for pilots until 1952 when they moved into newer Headquarters Buildings located just east off I-94/US Highway 131;The Hangar which housed BuShips C4 corvettes until 1958 when they were transferred ashore at White Sands Naval Base New Mexico;As well as many other smaller buildings throughout much of its history
The Battle Creek, Michigan War of 1812 was a conflict fought between the United States and Great Britain. The battle took place on July 2, 1812, in what is now Michigan's Flint County. The Americans were force to engage British troops who had surrendered at the Battle of Yorktown two weeks earlier. The American forces were led by General Anthony Wayne and Captain John Hull.
